I really hope this comes out on the 'next gen' machines as I can't afford to upgrade the PC until at least next year

Registered 17 years agoIf it's based on Enemy Territory, it will have very little to do with Counter Strike.
It's not one life per player, you respawn and there's different classes with different roles. Engineer plant dynamite to provide access to a forward spawn point or an objective, not to end the round. -

The developers did play team fortress for quake world, and made a tf mod for quake 3, so not that surprising. -

Did anyone notice how many E3 awards this game is starting to pick up? GameSpy puts it above Bioshock, Gamespot above Spore, Supreme Commander and Crysis, I'm very impressed. I was so uninterested in it until now that I didn't even bother to read any preview, but I'm starting to think that it's time to start looking into it. They can't all be mad, I suppose. -

Registered 16 years agoYeah the vids were quite crap. Couldnt believe his atempt at 'flying' that chopper. Which was basically take off, accelerate as fast as possible whilst doing a barrel roll into a hill. -

Registered 18 years agoJust looked in this thread, but did anyone else see the presentation by id's Kevin Cloud and Splash Damage's Paul 'Loki' Wedgewood? It is from Quakecon 06 at the start of August.

Holy shit!
Two new trailers - well 6 minute tutorials - are up on EGTV, this looks incredible.
The maps are constructed in such a clear AAS way with a storyline element to keep the play focused.
edit - this has just shot to number one in my most wanted list. Any idea of the tech requirements / release date / demo?
