Sorry for the old bump...

I've only recently been able to get the DVD's of Arrested Development, and absolutely loved both Season 1 and Season 2 to bit.

However, the other day I started watching Season 3 and something just doesn't seem 'right' with this season. Am I missing something or is it definitely the weakest of the three seasons they made?

A lot of the British humour in a couple of the episodes seems really lazy and weak to me compared to previous seasons and just reminds me of that god awful Simpsons episode with Tony Blair in it.

The only aspect I am finding really funny about season 3 is the gradual ill health of Tobias.

So yeah.... season 3, not that good as the others? Or does it get better towards the end?

Yeah, Season 3 isn't as good. It gets better after the British story ends.

Razz is like the kid hanging around the group of popular kids, trying ever so hard to get in.

Probably has an odd skipping/run thing to keep up with everyone.

Oh well, at least I am not alone in thinking Season 3 isn't up to the quality of 1 and 2. I'd just heard from several people that the show was consistently brilliant from start to finish, so it came as a bit of a surprise when I wasn't finding the majority of season 3 all that good.

Fox put pressure on them apparently to reduce the amount of stories happening in each episode, people found it too confusing or something :/

I really enjoyed S3, although it was the first season I watched.

Main thing is stick with it. After the England storyline it gets back to its best, sometimes better. It's as if they cast knew they had been cut and really went for it!
