I think I will be calling the controller: the 'wavy bit' and analog attachment: the 'sticky bit'.

    I am not very sophisticated.

Hehe, nah I doubt it will continue much beyond E3 once the real name's common knowledge. Anyway, since when did Ninty pick "interesting" names for it's peripherals anyway? :o)

So we decided that big list of crap was a big list of crap? Nothing interesting? Because I really can't be bothered to read it.

I don't know, I'm kind of interested but I find it hard to believe that any of it will be accurate. Tidbits are fine, but those are no tidbits.

    I'll have a look I suppose.

The original Soul Blade game for PSX will be remade for the DS

Once again, rumors point to a June/July launch for the console in Japan, with the rest reciving it between Septembar and October.

Peter Molyneux was planning on beggining development of versions of Black and White and The Movies for Revolution before Microsoft bought the company.

35 develpment kits were sent to Rockstar London/Take Two about a month ago. Nothing about what kind of game it may be is known, but it seems unlikely that it will be a GTA game.

One of their sources says that he can confirm that Ubi Soft has 9 titles in development for the Rev, many of which will be launch titles.

Nintendo and Valve were in talks during the month of March about bringing an exclusive new version of Counter Strike to Rev.

Zelda: Twilight Pricness has changed a great deal, and we may be surprised when he see the new images come E3.

There will be cheap games between $25-$30.

Developers have known the new name of the console since January.
All clearly bollocks, if you ask me.

    However:

    1) If devs have known the name of the Rev since January, then it will likely be 'Go'.

    2) Counter Strike? Don't make me laugh. But can you imagine... ?!

Europe launch for DS Lite will be on eitehr the 9th or 16th of June. Most probably, according to their sources, the 9th.

All next gen consoles wil be getting the next iteration of Soul Calibur

The launch color will be white, with black and other colors following soon after. The color will be directly related to the game that comes with the console.

The sensor bar under the TV will match with the color of the console.

A new Star Fox game is in development. It will rely solely on the Revmote for control.

There is a horse racing game in development aimed at the japanese market.

Fight Night is in development and will use two Revmotes.

Burnout Revenge may not be the Burnoutgame that will be on Revolution. Instead, Revolution will get the next entry in the franchise.

It appears that the suspected Prince of Persia version for Rev seems completely confirmed.

Super Smash Bros. for the Rev will be subtitlted "Mayhem". (The part of "Caos Total" is simply the way you would say it in spanish, NOT another option).

The Rev control in Zelda: Twilight Pricness will be used in combination with the shell. Its use will be limited, not a full blown translation to the Rev control wise. For example, using it in situations ehre you are in firts-person view.

However, they do say that an exclusive dungeon may be included that exploits the new caracteristics with a new item. (They do not say to what caracteristics they are referring, though I suspect they simply mean the Revmote's unique qualities).

Pikmin 3 is completely finished. They cannot confirm Spong's calims that it will appear at E3, but they would expect that would be the case. It will use the Revmote exclusively for controlling the game.

There will be online launch titles from both Nintendo and 3rd parties.

Sega games on other systems will also be available for download.

They vaguely mention there will be two gorgeous RPGs and some new/wierd games at E3.

Capcom will have 2 titles for Rev at E3. They may or may not be playable.
All quite likely or at least possible. The 2 remotes for Fight Night sounds a bit dodgy though. And I would be mildly surprised if we saw the DSlite in June.

Sorry for reposting most of all of that.

    The Nunchuck has accelerometer rumour

    Summary for lazy people:
According to the Advanced Media Network, the Revolution's nunchuck analog attachment contains [...] a device used to measure acceleration.

However [...] the nunchuck does not incorporate the same pointing and motion-sensing capabilities of the Revolution's free-hand unit.

It occurs to me that this rumour would be a lovely way to use a shield in Zelda games, or to jump/sidejump/leap back... I need to sit down with this rumour and digest it properly...

This Revolution thing's starting to sound a bit too much like hard work.

Konami are working on a Rev game called 'Elebits', according to this week's Famitsu. No details other than the name, though.

heh ... but shirley that's the total opposite of the main idea behind the controller! It is supposed to even the playing field for everyone instantly.

I think we're all exhausting ourselves (or at least I'm exhausting ourselves) with speculation and racking our brains wondering how the controller could best be implemented when there's a load of talented people working on this for the last year or two who plan to explain it all to us in two weeks...

My guess is that their final solution will set our minds at rest, although we will inevitably have doubts until we get our hands on it (I know that I was apprehensive about the analogue stick on N64, and the second one on GC).

That's fair enough Blerk, but I don't see why they need so much convincing. The Nintendo REVOLUTION will be cheap, work on almost everybody's television, offer a brand new way to play old games, offer brand new game genre's and improve our interface with certain existing PC-owned genres (FPSs and RTSs)... As a semi-jaded gamer, I am delighted to hear that some crazy bastard has made SotC, or REZ, or Guitar Hero, or whatever...

To sum up my zeal, the reason I believe so much in Ninty's REV project is that, as a seriously jaded gamer (note, I did not say a bored gamer), I need something new. I actually need it. The alternative (mostly big budget same-old hackneyed games that look set to emerge on the other consoles for the most part) is unthinkable.

All you've got there is a design ethic, T.G. It could still be shit.

Basically, as I've said before, I'm sold on the Rev for the Virtual Console alone. The wand is something I'm still very sceptical about - we don't really understand how it feels or works, if it works well or not, and how many problems there are with it. We don't know what else Nintendo are keeping quiet. There are a lot of ways I can see for the controller to be a bad thing. Anyone can instantly see the potential - the trouble is, anyone with a brain will also instantly see that it will be very hard to fulfil. Even Blerk, I am sure, knows that if Jedi Knights could be pulled off perfectly (it can't be) with the remote, then it would be an awesome thing indeed.

But there are so many things I am sure we just won't see happening. The important thing for me about this console, at the moment, is what we know - backcatalogue, and conventional future titles. If the remote can prove itself, then I'll start worrying about that.

Pah! You wouldn't catch me waving a remote control around like a Jedi.
