Just a heads up to anyone based in or visiting Edinburgh. I've got a show for the next month in Amber Arts Gallery in Abbeyhill (5 minutes walk from the parliament). It's called Into the light and is a series of black and white large format still life shots. If yer passing, have a look |
If you're in Edinburgh, I have an exhibition up just now.

Registered 16 years agoUsed to live in Abbeyhill, where is the gallery? Is it new or did I spend my 5 years in the area with my eyes closed? -

Registered 18 years agoI was in Edinburgh a few weeks ago, so it's a shame I've missed this by just a couple of weeks. OK, I was on a stag weekend almost entirely devoid of culture but I'd still have gone along.

I think it just used to be a framers... now it's a framers and gallery - run by new-ish owners (2 years I think). It's just next to a launderette and camera repair shop, where the road forks left up the hill towards Regent Road. On Montrose Terrace
Did you enjoy your time in Edinburgh Phattso? Topographically confusing city that it is...
I always used to love confusing non-edinburghian mates by taking them on the bridges and showing them the Grassmarket, where we'd just been a few minutes hence. Takes a lot of getting used to. -

That used to be the view from my kitchen window! I had a flat across the road on the point where East Norton Place meets Montrose Terrace (above the weird antique shop). I'm over the other side of town now but I think I'll check out your exhibition at the weekend... -
Sweet... hope you like it
here's the preview on flickr as promised.gif)

I'd love to see that, but I live in Worthing
Do post the shots, like. I'd really like to see them. -

I'm obviously a heathen what does a life shot mean? I take it it doesn't have to be alive? -

Registered 17 years agoI was in Edinburgh on Monday there, a pity I didn't know :S
Still, me and my friends were through cos my friend wanted to go to Edinburgh to shop (why she couldn't have just shopped here in Glasgow I'll never know - we still went to the same shops like H & M) seeing as it was her birthday, so I very much doubt I could have gone to see them anyway
Cool pictures

ta all... nice to see folk think it's good work. It's hard to get a handle on that kind of thin when you've spent so long looking at them. Kind of like saying the same word again and again, all of a sudden it doesn't make sense....
@patlike - got them framed professionally, nice solid oak frames, cost a buck or two tho :S
@electric demon - my mum does that! all the same shops as everywhere else, all these amazing places to go and see that she cant see at home and she makes a beeline for Marks and bloody Spencers.... -

Wow, I can't even make out what it is that you're photographing there! It looks interesting though.
Here are my very humble and clichéd Edinburgh pics from last December. -
*snip*
My apologies - my connection b0rked just after I hit submit and I'm only just back. :/
