You can make cheese on toast in a toaster if you lay it on it's side. Just be sure to catch the top slice before it lands on the bottom slice. -

Registered 17 years ago'creamy lancashire cheese' doesn't sound all that appetising, somehow.
Can anyone confirm if they have made the largest piece of cheese on toast ever? -

Registered 18 years agoFunny thing happened to me this year. I used to love toast and cheese when I was a kid but totally went off it one day and never had it for about 15 years then earlier this year folks were having some for lunch with tomatoes, pepper and its smelled friggin fantastic so I decided to have one and see if I would like it. Now I'm addicted. Really can't stop eating it. Cheese running out out is my only saviour. -
Add a layer of Marmite and cheese on toast suddenly becomes almost too tasty. -
Freak! Look at the freak! -
I invented a new variant called "Toast on Cheese". Take one large block of cheese. Toast some bread. Place bread atop cheese block. Invade Poland. Eat. -

Does it have to be Poland? Will any medium size country do? -

Way to ruin a perfectly good woman, Fozzie! -
I am talking about the foodstuff btw, not the other thing. -
Nope. They taste even better and you can be sure that nobody else will have a sneaky munch on them when you're out. -

Registered 18 years agoCheese (on Beans) on Toast FTW!
Marmite - yuchy!
Worchestershire Sauce - Yummy!
Cheese on Toast with Tomatoes and Peppers, sounds like my fave toasties without the top bit of bread.
Guess what i'm having for tea tonight?
ya basts! I'm starving now and the lamb curry (with fruit in it! blech!) didn't even fill me a bit.
That advert just makes me want cheese on toast with any kind of cheese, to me its an ad for cheese on toast not whatever brand of cheese it is they're pimping.

Registered 17 years agoNot one for the purists but try smothering this on toast.
Mix the following ingredients together...
grated cheese (the stronger the better)
mayonnaise
chopped spring onions
chopped cherry tomatoes
finely chopped chilli
I'd suggest building up quite a thick layer and then grilling it very slowly. The mayo seems to hold the contents together (and makes it deliciously creamy, fluffy and light) so you don't get cheese running off the edge and you get a gorgeously browned top...
Gloopy cheese on toast heaven. -
