Has a release date been given for Opera DS yet (here or Japan)? -

Normal answer:
Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
Fanboy answer:
Opera pisses all over Firefox.

Registered 20 years agoThanks. I've always used Firefox. I love the speed, but it crashes sometimes. I've been thinking about getting Opera, but I don't want to sacrifice the soppesdly superior speed of firefox. Is this fear warrented? -

If you want more stability, Opera isn't the best choice.
It's faster (in some respects) than Firefox, but less stable. -

Out in Japan in "Summer". Rest of the world not decided.
I prefer Opera to Firefox - tis quicker and doesn't break my router (no idea why firefox does). -

As a matter of fact, the market inquiry on the xbx webby has some questions about what users want for browsing capabilities. -

Music and video's on demand ftw.
Opera is a really good browser IMO. If it worked like Firefox, I would be using it. By that I mean in firefox I have similar bookmarks in folders. Just middle click on folder to open all bookmarks. Or click on single item to just open that. -

I use Opera and it's pretty good. Have problems with ads sometimes (on IGN they repeat themselves and I sometimes can't get into the site), and it sometimes crashes.
But, er, apart from that it's fine. :/ -

Its just not the same. I know its really really minor. But that one thing keeps me with firefox, even though I seem to find Opera (well the preview build for opera 9) to be the superior/faster browser. -

Iīm surprised by the amount of people who used the browser on the Dreamcast. It canīt hurt to have it in there at least. -

I've found Opera is quite stable. The only problem I have with it is that it is a bit of a memory hog, but then again I frequently have 10 to 20 tabs open at once and only have 512MB ram. -

How many tabs have you got open? I have 16 tabs running in Opera and it is using 140MB of ram. -
