Frankly, this concerns me. Because if there are this many problems now… how much worse will the software be in March, when it releases?
How much worse after 3 months of bugtesting and stress testing? I imagine it will be better :)
I think he means what features will they have to drop, what support will they have to drop for video etc.

Opera For devices reorients homepages in a more vertical fashion, putting content from the left of the screen above.
That's on my tiny phone screen though, but it works excellently. They actually do rescale things so it will most likely be better than what you're describing.

Would be nice if they allowed 720p for the browser though.
    Would be very nice.

Yup kinda my feeling on it too. It will be an interesting novelty feature but I don't think I will be giving up surfing on my PC anytime soon, well at least until I get a PS3 anyway.

Problem there is the machine is incapable of that resolution.

Opera has some zoom functions though, which was apparently how the DS one worked. It could work ok, I just hope it's faster than the PS3 one.

Wonder if it will have a widescreen mode?

I hope so, all the other aplication things seem to have wide screen.

Though my D-cable doesn't seem to let me have real wide screen, only a squished 4:3 image that stretches out to wide screen. Is this the only wide screen I can get?

    Looks quite slick :)

Hope I can play streams on it, doesn't seem likely though. As long as youtube is supported Razz is good. :)

Nothing hard about setting up a Webserver to watch movies off my computer... hmmm...

    I was thinking the samething.

maybe even with just windows media connect thingy

edit.. does orb need a software install on the client PC? or is it just web based?

Maybe it will only show flash based video? will it still be possible?

My phone came installed with Opera and it has a 640x200 display. I use it all the time and have no problems with the major sites. Eurogamer is useable but the Opera resize feature doesn't like the EG CSS block rendering.

I browsed the web for years at 640x480 and a lot of sites are still designed for 800x600 - I see no reason for the Wii to be cramped, it just won't have that many toolbars.

That all goes out the window if you have a goldfish bowl CRT but 480p should be fine.

If it's got Flash9/AS3.0 support then I expect to be developing my first ever Nintendo console release over the holidays!

YouTube works pretty well. Text is generally unreadable unless you zoom in using "+" though.

Also posting from wii. Pretty impressive although motion based zoom would be a welcome addition in final version :)
