Does anyone find it strange when I say I'm really looking forward to this? Check out the trailer.

    Link

Lots of movement, though. And that goth girl is completely unnecessary.

edit: excellent choice of trailer music as well.

Does anyone know if this is a standard Rayman platformer or is it a Tony Hawks Downhill Jam-esque spin-off in a new direction?

Bloody brilliant! I still don't like the new, more realistic, look, but at least there's hope that it will be funny.

Was initially weirded out by the spiky haired kid, but finding out that it is a girl explains a whole lot.

Oh, I hope the game is as good as the trailer makes it look. I'd kinda have to by a Wii, then :)

Why would you expect a Rayman game to be any good at all? Because it has crazy rabbits in?

Ok, so the rabbits look cool. Way cooler than the awful character design that is Rayman himself with his floaty hands and stupid face.

If they have a good idea for a game why put the Rayman license to it?
    FOOLISH FOOLISH!

    it's all cut-scenes anyway.

    stupid floaty hands.

    Do you actually like games??

I havent seen you put anything positive about any game so far.

I noticed that a few people consider Rayman to be a bit crap, but I wonder if they played any of the games. They're pretty good.

Rayman 2 is amazing. Up there on my all time favorites list- and itīs gorgeous on the dreamcast.

I take it you're ignoring 'the sprout' Scratchy. Can see his tag popping up in this thread from without. I've been ignoring him happily for days... :D

SERIOUSLY: why would you expect any more from this Rayman than any previous ones?

A few comprehension issues there Sprouty?

By the way guys, is Rayman actually any good? I played a bit of a Rayman game years ago, and I don't even remember what system Could even've been N64 (was a friend's game). I seem to remember not liking it. But that was based on limited play...

    Enlighten me.

I didn't like it when I played, either. (I think I played one of the later PS2 incarnations).

Yet, I got on fine with Crash and Jak and Daxter.

Actually, the trailer looks awesome, (apart from the spikey-haired girlboy)...

people getting excited about a Rayman game implies "I love Nintendo so much I will put my blind faith in any game they show me."

I'm not saying everyone will hate it, just commenting on the fact that I find it surprising so many people are lookign forward to a game with a checkered past including uninspired character design (which admittedly appears to be getting better) and distinctly lacks any form of charisma or inspiration.

Just cos I don't agree doesn't mean I'm trolling. What's the point of a forum if we can't share different views?

What you find shocking, actually, is that there are people who don't have the same opinions as you. Well, there are. I'm one. For one thing, I think that the character design in Rayman is brilliant. There you go.

I wanna smack me some rabbits.

And I appreciate Nintendo so much for including rumble in the controller. I want that feeling of my fist connecting with their skulls when I strike my deadly blow.
