Hey all, look just bored out of my mind, I was wondering if you were in control of the marketing of the Wii, how would you promote it?

I would use Princess Peach in more ways than one.

Ninty need an attractive female mascot like Joanna Dark or Lara Croft.

So I suggest she pose nude for Playboy.

Good question,

As a gamer i'd say showing lots of gameplay clips, but if you wanted me to sell a few of them - i'd probably have a video of say, a golfer about to take a shot, then somebody running onto the screen with a sword and getting into a big fight.

Fuck that, i'd change the name first.

Or maybe some kid coming back from school, he lives in a block of flats so he's coming up the stairs, entering his small/dingy flat and chucks his back pack down, picks up the wii remote and then suddenly all his walls transform into a huge lush golf course, sort of showing how you can escape to another world using the wii.

I'd do a very simple demonstration of the Wii controller. Wii sports with shots of the control scheme probably. Something simple that gets the message across and conveys how inovative thge controller is. If possible, don't even mention the name 'Wii' out loud but merely have the logo and a soundclip at the end of the advert to establish the logo and look of the console. No saying the name out loud at least until launch
