I assume this list is for all characters - ie non-playable as well as playable.

Like all the Pokemon that were in Melee, but you could only play as Pikachu, Pichu, Jigglypuff and Mewtwo.

Phoenix Wright needs to be in there, with a pointy-finger attack of some kind!

Nah, it's a list of the characters being considered as playable. Obviously not all of them will make it though.

He's already in?

Ganondorf was just a clone of Captain Falcon, and allegedly the clone characters are being either axed or rejigged completely so they're new. But in this case I think they mean Ganon/Pig Wizard, rather than the SSBM character.

Could the lack of Sonic be because Sega are planning their own Sonic brawler?

Thinking outside the box, eh?

An afterthought: if they include Diddy, he has to have those jetpacks he had in Donkey Kong 64, as well as those coconut guns-thingys... anyway, I wouldn't be suprised if that were a reality anyway, because of the importance of mid-air battles that's being stressed quite a lot.

Definately not the cream of Ninty's jRPGs! If they're considering Sora (!!!) because of COM, surely they could consider any of the pre-7 FF characters? Then again, Sora's a DISNEY character - one day there will be Mickey Mouse vs Mario at this rate!

They're only there because it's more or less an entire list of all Nintendo's licensed characters, evar.

Mark my words, nobody from Golden Sun will be playable in the final game.
