I sold my D50 to a friend recently and regretted it, but I've just stumbled on a deal for a D70 + Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 MACRO lens + bag + 256 card. All for £550.

    Good deal?

Sorry, put it in the wrong category by mistake.

    A very resounding yes.

    Is it a D70 or a D70s?

D200 for the win! Ours in work is sweeeet.

D70's menus are a nightmare to troubleshoot with customers.

    Excellent camera though.

A photographer friend of mine who had 2. She used to do a lot of weddings and needed one as a backup. Picked it up at the weekend. I don't have any software with it though. What PC software do you guys recommend?

Software to do what? I'm a Canon user so I don't think the discs I got with the camera will help you

About to sell my D70 (not S) with a Sigma 70-300mm F3.5-6.3 MACRO II lens + bag plus the memory card. Also the Speedlight SB600 flash for it too. I have gone the way of the Canon 30D

    Slight correction..

    I ended up with a D70 + a Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC lens, not a 18-300mm. The 18-200's seem to retail around £250 or so. Still a good price I think..

Used my D70 for the first time properly on Sunday and abolutely love it. Thanks for the recommendation guys. Took a load of pics at the Stella Artios final at Queens trying a few different settings. Most of the pics turned out great. I can see myself really getting into this photography lark.
