I'd welcome back a suitably-chastened koti, sometimes his posts are worth reading. Unfortunately, he's been too keen to launch into pointless and/or unwarranted vitriol, which makes this place seem much less welcoming (at first glance) than it really is.

The image isn't really a problem, it's the months and months of arguments and winding people up (aka trolling) which has brought the forum down. And he's not the only offender so everyone should just try and teach each other with a bit of respect and use the forum as intended (i.e. for discussion of stuff) and not as a place to have petty arguments, registering several usernames and so on.

Also, I think we've banned at least 20 of Bored_Gamer's incarnations now... really hoping we have a permanent solution for getting rid of him soon.

    Yeha, that is fair.

For how long is a GI?

My sentiments exactly. Good to see the guidelines are followed for old members as well as new.

I like the guy but I don't think koti would ever learn, GI or no I don't think he would recognise he's in the wrong for all the trolling.

Anything gonna be done about "vermin" then if he continues trolling? ;-)

It jus strikes me as odd. Koti always claimed that a lot of his suppliers/etc browsed this forum. I always vaguely wondered what they thought of his choice of threads and posts, and now I'm wondering what they'll think about this.
Good point, actually. Didn't he once threaten to sue som kid for "slander" on EG?

Verm is no stranger to GI. I don't ever recall him making it personal, either.

verm is the court jester, with jester's license. There can be only one.

Its true. I've probably told vermin to fuck off more than I have Koti, but for some odd reason the former has never bothered me that much.

Theoretically, if you really wanted him gi'd, why wouldn't you have him on ignore already?

verm's too tall, I suggest he's banned on that basis.

An ignore should prevent you replying to a poster, and it should be irreversible pending x amount of days.

Also, ignoring koti permanently would result in half the threads here making no sense as he posts so much!

I stuck vermin on ignore a while ago. But he still [link=http://www.eurogamer.net/forum_thread_posts.php?forum_id=1&thread_id=57323&start=0">trolls other people which can understandably lead to

@Mapster, I've not really got the impression that most people on this thread can't stand koti or anything like that: as I said, I'll be glad to see him back when his GI expires, he's sometimes got interesting things to say. I just hope he drops the grudges on his return.

Props to Rauper, it's a long time coming. He's been on my ignore list for about a year now, can't stand the near constant chest beating.

/applauds this and hope it's not some 'joke' or something
