Can you still get these? I haven't seen them in years!!!

With all the healthy eating crap around at the mo, can you still buy cream horns at your local bakery / deli / whatever?

God that picture has (quite literally) given me the horn.

I really want one now. I'm going on an expedition into Oxford. I shall attain the legendary horn of cream

Cream horns remind me of that bit in Young Sherlock Holmes where Dr. Watson is attacked by cakes :/

Scan the skyline for the tallest and ugliest monstrosity of a building - that's where I am.

The best place in the whole of oxford is this building because it's the only place you can't see it from :)

Those are ace, but custard slices man, they're the ultimate creamy eating challenge. You have to bite down into the bit thick pastry platform at just the right tension point to try and avoid the custardy goodness erupting out the sides and all over the place.

it takes a true master to get the custard in your mouth and not down your jumper.

Naw I didn't get the horn (see this stuff just writes itself dunnit!)

Though I will be hitting the chav-tastic "Oven Door" in Scabingdon tomorrow. The quest shall not cease until I have found the horn of plenty.

Aaahhh we have one of those but we also have an Auntie May's Pasty shop and I like to keep it in the family so I'll probably hit that place up.

Yeah there are quite a few proper French Patisseries where I live, so you see cream horns quite often.

But although cream horns and custard slices are yummy, there's no competition with the Chocolate Religieuse. None at all.

mmmmm, I really fancy one now god dammit!
