With my birthday coming up a few people have asked what they could get me and I thought a DSLR book. I've already got a pretty good D70 book for Photoshop CS2 (for dummies). Any suggestions?

I'm quite new to Digital Photography so I'm really looking for something that shows me how to create certain types of pictures.

Yeah you don't find a lot of really in-depth model-olny publishings.

Try www.kenrockwell.com - he might have some solid book advice (he's a solid guy).

/Realises I should ask ken for commission - I've actually emailed him before and he replied in-depth and everything. Well solid.

I need a good photographic skills book myself; one tailored to the 300D wouldn't hurt. Any recommendations?

Edit: This one looks like it might fit the bill.
