Attack packing with knives. It's what it deserves, getting between us and our food!

That could work. There's also the microwave method for sheer mutilation delight.

    /puts crisps bag in microwave

Oooh, those get on my tits (npi). I hate 'em! Solution: Always open milk cartons by slicing off one of the bottom corners, leaving it to dribble out onto whatever you could need it on. Only possible problem is sealing it again and also keeping the milk off yourself...

    Again, a knife.

Pop the first bit out as instructed, then hack it with a bread knife. Works like a charm :)

    Cheese...

Packets of cheese where they get you to cut with a pair of scissors along a line only to find that the line has been drawn too far up the packet and the delicious cheese is still trapped inside.

    Grrrr!

It's safety packaging, in order to give you time to remember that you're allergic to them.

The moisture makes it easier to open.

"Tear Here" isn't that part of the design document for the HL2 renderer? As in "We'll have a Tear here about halfway down the screen, oh and put one in two thirds of the way down that lamp post too".

I always think teeth make the best openeing tool, apart from bottles, and maybe doors.

But those xbox packages, ouch they bloody hurt, I used a lighter to get into most of mine, followed by a VERY sharp knife.
