Can't seem to keep awake past midnight these days, plus I wake at six when I don't need to move till after seven.

    Must be getting old.

Our cats stay in at night.

re nets. We have nets that almost go to the floor. The windows tho start at chest ish height. So there is quite an overlap that has so far defeated our cats - tho one is far to lazy to even attempt it.

Not at night, they have a habit of getting run over by fluffycuntzor in his fudgewagon.

    R.I.P Parsnip

They can get through anything, net curtains, heavy velvet jobbies, even doors if you don't lock em ;)

    Nets. Heavy Curtains. BLINDS FFS.

Nothing will stop ours from going for open windows.

    Venitians might do it... might...

yeah, flood the roads that'll keep em in. Cats hate water :)

Same here. It was 26°C in my room last night! I consider dipping my head into the liquid nitrogen tank if it gets any warmer today.

No open window but yesterday morning I woke up and the first thing I did was sratch my leg. Felt like a mosquito bite.
    Itched like hell.
    Started swelling.

An hour later I had a massive 1 by 2 inch swelling on my leg. Hurts when I walk.

I've no idea what bit me or if it's still there.

Get long net curtains. Works with our cats.
    Doesn't with ours.

    That's a moth egg.

They lay them in your nose/mouth, then the egg travels under the skin to the leg/groin area where it eventually bursts through the skin.

Yes I am absolutely wiped out. I blame tube heat and this damn cold I have contracted, so when I am sitting on the tube I sneeze sniff cough and sweat profusely. Yuck.
Plus I went to bed at 10pm last night the earliest i have gone to sleep in months... and I still woke up knackered.
Grrr and on tube heat I am soooooooo enraged when people lean against the door blocking the windows. Hello you fucksack can't you see that rather than having airflow (Black sooty airflow admittedly) we now have a giant meat shield insulating passengers in this carriage of heated death.

    /coughs sneezes and mopes.

Does anything actually lay eggs in you in this country?..

I remember watching one of these hositpal programs on daytime TV, some guy had come back from a holiday and a botfly had layed an egg under the skin on his head, he had about a 1.5' x 1.5' swelling with what looked like a yellow puss dot on the top of it.... but with the help of a pair of twesers they revealed it to be the top of a friggin maggot wich then then proceeded to pull of of his head :-/!

Want a link to a very similair video?

I got bit by a spider once and my wrist swelled up and I couldn't rotate it without pain for a couple of days.

I'm fairly shattered as well. However, I can put it down to:

    1) Not leaving the pub untill midnight last night.

    2) Deciding it would be a good idea to get a kebab.

    3) Not getting home until 1am.

Heh, i'm fine, my bedroom window is shielded by a huuuuuuuge tree all day through the sun, and the wind is virtually always moving perpendicular to the 180° opening windows. ^_^

Mind you it is pretty warm, even poor old Joey is starting to flag in it !
