Finally have some vague details on this one

    News

    Scans

Looks like a lot of the elements from No. 4 will return which makes me very happy. Hopefully the people who did the soundtrack will return as well (Masato Kouda, Ryuta Suzuki, Nobuyuki Shimizu etc.) not that I have anything against Michiko Naruke.

I'm still living in the really rather vague hope that someone will decide to bring XSEED's stuff over to Europe so that I can play WA4. Damn them. Damn them to hell. And back.

It never ceases to amaze me the games they DON'T bring to Europe...

You can watch the promotional movie that was shown at the fan event at the start of the month over on Famitsu's website.

That looks pretty good - I hope they keep the platformy gameplay of WA4 but bring back the tools.

There looks to be a whole lot of stuff going on all over the place, I've never really got into Wild Arms though. Any individual installments that are particularly worth playing through?

Tch, still haven't gotten around to WA4 yet :(

ilmaestro: Wild Arms Alter Code F is pretty good imo. Very big game, shit loads of sub quests, decent enough combat system, but rather average visuals and soundtrack(Plus they 'neutered' some of the music in the USA version to remove Japanese vocals for some reason). I'd recommend it, but wouldn't 'guarantee' you'll like it.

Wild Arms 3 is okay, not quite as good, but a bit shorter and easier, and with some nice variety to the combat(Standard, airborne and on horse back :)). I quite liked the story myself too.

Carol Anderson and Chuck Preston are the two new party characters revealed this week in Famitsu.

I do like the character artwork.

The Adventures of Young Squall? The shrink-to-fit jeans with those giant boots don't really become him though...

You-know-who talks about Wild Arms 5.

Sounds pretty good, even though I've only played the third game and thought it was pretty boring.

He does actually manage to make a Wild Arms game seem interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on that one. Or, even better, let someone else keep an eye on it and report their findings to this thread, whereupon I will read it.

Don't worry, I'm sure to buy it though I'm not sure how reliable my opinion is when it comes to Wild Arms! - I thought CodeF was a bit shite TBH but I really enjoyed WA4 despite its shortcomings.

By the way, I haven't seen Decoded in what feels like an eternity. Bitching about RPGs simply isn't the same without the miserable bastard. :-(

I would have thought that my grumpy musings in the FFXII thread were a dead giveaway. But I guess my posting style just isn't unique enough :'(

I'm playing Okami now. Not much to complain about yet, but give me time. See you in the dedicated thread soon, no doubt :D

Oooh, I don't know. Those "voices" are pretty annoying. As is that bug thing that won't shut up. Erm, that's all for now.

As for the change of nick, I didn't want to do it. I accidentally logged out, can't find my password, and can't access the email account registered with the name. I created this one a couple of years back when I'd been logged out and there was no way to retrieve passwords. I later found it written down somewhere, but it really seems to be gone this time :|
