Lewandowski is on the most ridiculous run of goal scoring I think Iíve ever seen. Every Bundesliga and Champions League game so far this season.

He's insane. Probably not talked about enough when the discussion comes around to greatest goalscorers but he's been unstoppable for near enough a decade now.

Quality Messi hat trick and a an utterly ridiculous Suarez goal.

Sarri sacked. Poch most likely to be the next manager.

That would be very interesting. Particularly to see how him and Ronaldo get on considering how much Poch will love Dybala.

A nice league title or two for the CV won't do him any harm.

I haven't followed soccer in a long time, but I can only wonder at the average level of the Serie A, if a manager wins the league and still gets sacked for not meeting the team's standards of play.

It's very much like the Bayern Munich job. The league is seen as an absolute given, so any wobbles domestically or no progress in Europe is seen as a failure.

Sarri was never popular there, so not a surprise.

Just a shame that Atalanta/Inter/Lazio(spit) couldn't quite manage to pip them at the end. That would have been lovely.

    😃

Quite something to win a league and still get sacked. But, it's not surprising. He's quite hard to like I think - seems to be very uncompromising, so inevitably going to go badly if people aren't onboard with your ideas.

To win the league in your first season as well. And actually for once with some competition as Inter are very good at the moment.

I reckon Poch has a good chance. Seeing as the next Juve coach will have to play everything through Ronaldo instead of stamping his own style on the team, it makes sense for them to go for a cheaper option for a year or two before getting a top tier name in.

Pirlo is getting it! Hands up if your manager won a major trophy with your club as a player this century..

You have to imagine Pirlo will make a decent manager. I know it doesn't always translate but he had such a good footballing brain on him.

Sure some of you have likely already had this sent around, but was a bit of a fun game after a few beers:

Design the best team of eleven players based on these 3 criteria -
    1) played in your life time
    2) no 2 players from same country
    3) no 2 players who have ever played for the same club

Took me about 24 hours lol The club criteria makes it proper fucking hard. Ended up with some top hipster choices from the 86/90 world cups.

Pirlo confirmed on bbc news now.

Hope the other teams can keep the pressure on next season too.

Also pretty amusing, as he said at that time that he wanted to gain experience and work his way up to a top job the right way. Really, really ballsy move by a club hoping to win the Champions League asap.
