Mock all you like, but I remember a few years back a mate of mine was shacked up with this crazy Filipino woman (she was very sweet but 100% basket case...) I went round to theirs once and was treated to a delicious chicken dinner. The chicken was especially tasty so I was surprised to discover that 7-up was the key ingredient in the marinade! Guess it's possible to get it right, providing you're slightly unhinged.
