We've got a Maine_Coon, weighs nearly 9kg, a fair bit of eating there.

I can only imagine - poor little kitty, crying, "mew, mew, mew" while you slice open its throat.

You've got a Maine Coone Goban? That's awesome. What are they like? I've got no outside space so a house-happy cat like a Balinese suits me. I'd like to get one like yours though if it wasn't cruel to keep it inside. Does it go out much?

Check out my cat, he's ripe for some good eating (if he wasn't in space). We call him Fatty Battenburg aka Batman.

Throw in some vegetables, you got yourself a stew going baby!

Looks a lot like what one of our cats looked like. Until we got more dogs, one a puppy and summer came along. Fat kitty now spends a lot more time outside and when inside he isn't able to leisurely saunter from place to place as he's liable to get chased.

On the flip side, the skinny little runt kitty now has much more access to the food as she doesn't get muscled out of the way by fat kitty. She is now fat kitty.

He tends to go out at 11pm and comes back in at 8am no matter what the weathers like, seems to be completely immune to whatever the Scottish weather can throw at him.

Great Cat: independent, loves a bit of affection, intelligent, playful, great with kids, couldn't recommend one more highly. He is bloody huge though, you don't really want to mess with him when he's pissed off :)

    fat maine coon

lucky_jim - totally depends on the cat's temperament. Some are quite content to stay indoors. You wouldn't want a 20lb+ beast climbing up your curtains though.

That's not fat, just furry, ours is about the same size and he's a lean beast.

When he was a kitten he used to like trying to climb up your leg, sounds fine until you take in to consideration that he was a 10lb kitten, ouch!

Do you have trouble keeping the bugger's coat clean? It's the one thing I don't like about long-haired cats - all the brushing and whatnot.

    Woah!

I forget how big some cats can be as mine are pretty small, then I see other (probably normal size) cats around and look like fucking giants.
They are giants. About twice the size of normal moggies. The weird thing is getting used to them and seeing other cats as being 'small'.

I forget how big ours is and see other cats and can't believe how tiny they are :)

Quite fancy getting one of the small breeds (Singapura) just for a laugh.

Doesn't need any brushing, looks after himself quite the thing.

That is huge! Not sure it'd be fair to have one of those in my flat tbh. Maybe some day...

Christ on a bike that's massive!

We've got a American Ragdoll, (ours is quite a small one though as it was the runt of the litter) and they're supposed to be pretty big but nowhere near that beautiful monster cat.

Our other cat is actually called 'Monster' come to think of it, but more because she's very naughty rather than her size...

Come to to think of it, this pic is of Raggy (imaginative name I know), but you can't tell how big he is mind.
