You guys keep up your "only Nintendo innovate" nonsense, and I'll keep pointing out the truth.
TABLE TENNIS
VIVA PINATA
SPORE
GEOMETRY WARS
DEAD RISING
What say you now, heathens?

He calls that innovation?!
Oh, and someone pass the tissues. I spilt Coke all over myself when I read Ecanems post.

I wouldn't call Table Tennis particularly innovative either. -

Gotham TV on PGR3 is innovation. Maybe not exciting to many but it is innovative. -
Thief did light and shadow stealth before, and better than, Splinter Cell. -
When did Hollywood=innovation !?! -

Concept man, concept. Some of those games may turn out to be shit. Who knows. My point is that people ARE trying to innovate on the Xbox 360. Such acts are not just the sole preserve of Nintendo machines. That's all.
Can I ask what point I mentioned the Wii having/not having innovation?
Pointing out that those were really bad examples.

Indeed.
Hollywood to me, at least = cookie cutter. Only rarely does it have genuine non-genre-filler films. -

Okay, when I said "Hollywood" I meant flashy, showy innovation. Like the Wiimote. When, as you said, Gotham TV is just as much an innovation. Just in a more understated way. -

There are many forms, and it occurs all the time.
Yes there are. Some on will be on the Wii, some on 360, some on PC, some on PS3 and the handhelds. Rarely seen anyone here specifically state one console is more innovative than another.
Games designers may be better to point at for innovation (Bullfrog etc).
Fact is the Wii looks like it might bring something new in via the use of hardware. Xbox/Dreamcast did it with internet use (in terms of consoles) and so on. -

Nope. Well, that's not strictly true. If it were a peripheral, then I wouldn't care either way, just as I have no real stance on lightguns, or beat 'em up arcade sticks, or steering wheels, or whatever. But as a standard controller, if it were on the Xbox 360...I would not buy an Xbox 360.

Personally I like the idea that it can offer all the gimmicks we've seen in the past (fishing rods, drum, maraccas etc.) in one handy form. Though I'd say that from games like Mario Galaxy we're not going to see the end of traditional games on the Wii either. -
