Opera is indeed infinitely customisable - not only can you choose which bars to show at all, you can also, drag and drop style, put (or remove) whatever you want on different bars. /demands his share from Dirtbox |
When did Firefox get so rubbish? • Page 3

Oh - and activate the side panel - then you can click anywhere on the very left of the screen to open/hide the panel bar with your favourites, history, transfers, etc. Much more comfortable than having dedicated buttons for everything. -

Might install it again, but past experiences have not been good.

Still does sometimes, but then so does Firefox and it has a lot less going on. Anyway, what does it matter? Can't spare a few more meg to avoid having the 11 or so other programs running that you don't need anymore?

Also it dropped off our matrix of supported browsers in work last year.

Opera has been gaining massive ground since version 9 (maybe because of the torrent function). Not a good time to drop support for it.

Oh dear. Probably the worst time to do it too. It identifies as IE so even if loads of people are using it, you have little or no way of knowing.
Not anymore since version 9, Deebs, afaik. It used to identify as IE on default, but you could change it. From what I've read, it now identifies itself as Opera (and you can't change it anymore in the menu). -

Hmm...things I don't like so far. Can't drag and drop a bookmark into the links bar. can't delete a bookmark by right-clicking on it. It is very ugly. Most of the skins I have tried make it look uglier.
Lack of customisation skills.
No other browser I know of has a better collection of skins. -
