    On 3Dgamers now.

    http://www.3dgamers.com/news/more/1096485473/

Unless you have a subscription the servers are maxed at the moment.

It should be up on gamershell.com in a little while though. Hopefully.

    1.5gig.

    EDIT: Gamers hell is up.

    Cheers.

Anyone got a link to a server that's fast enough so that I can play it before the weekend? :-/

The best thing for me was the West Coast Gamershell 1000Mbit server, getting a steady 200 kB/s so far.

Now there's a demo in need of a torrent. Where's Eurofiles when you need them, eh?

I always find it pretty ridiculous that the publishers don't provide the bandwidth. It's free promotion, anyhow. Instead we get linked to overcrowded sites with registration requirements. Lame.

    330MB done, 1h 20 min to go.

I might start seeding it on BT, I'd have to use a public tracker though.

Cheers, absolutezero, I am downloading from Gamershell already, though.

    Just jumped to 270 kb/s, too. \o/

I am on the UK server.

My download is moving between 140 and 400 kb all the time, and with surprising regualrity, like a sinus curve. Most odd.

Downloading at a very variable rate from Gamershell's Ireland mirror, everything else is full, not too sure about using a server that doesn't support resuming though!

Pity no-one's uploaded it to Usenet...

I dunno mate, I was thinking the same. What kind of game is this?

More Linear focused Oblivion, with a better magic and fighting system and physics based battles.

Multiplayer segment (which is'nt in this demo) is like Battlefield 2, thing is the battles you take part in influence the next.

Imagine 2 huge castles at either end of a valley, one good one evil. Now imagine a bunch of stages inbetween the castles. One team winning a battle brings them closer to the enemy castle, loosing bring them closer to their own castle. The aim over the smaller skirmishes is to reach the enemys castle and destroy using seige engines and such.

Unless Kuju optimize the game more than what the beta is like (which of course they will, it is Kuju though you can't blame me for worrying) fully itll suffer under the amount of players thats going to want to get in on it.

Git! And long time no see too! ;-)

My download from Gamershell Ireland has bounced around between .4K a second to 904K and changes every other second. I've never had a download so odd before!

My first impression: slick! Much better than Oblivion. Very nice intro movie, good setting. Fast graphics, must be a Source thing. Looks quite polished for a game to be released in October.

And that is about it for me - along with the demo arrived the wife... ;-(

    ;-p

I've still been around, just quiet.

Mine dropped to about 850 for a bit then down to 820, from there slowly back up to around 930 where it finished.

Was v.lucky to get a slot mind. First 5 times where on a UK server as that was the only one showing space, but it never started the download. The all of a sudden on one refresh it show one of the Netherland 1000mbit servers at 70%, so managed to get on there.

anyhoo, off out for a bit might try the demo later tonight. post some impressions to convince me to stay up late and give it a go. ta.

Keep getting kicked off one of the US mirrors - guess I'll just have to wait until a slot on the NL mirror comes available!

Installed fine, but I am getting some procedural entry point Bink error message when I launch it. Sounds like some video related thing.

On a A64 3000+, 6600 GT, 2 GB RAM - I'd describe the overall feeling as quite playable in 1024x768 with 2xAA and most details maxed out. Way better than Oblivion.
