Incidentally, this game seems to torture my PC rather less that HL2 did...at first it was a bit jumpy, but knocking model detail down to medium helped a lot. Everything else has been left on the suggested settings.

    Athlon 64 3000+
    Geforce 6600GT (PCI-E)
1GB RAM, in case you were wondering.

Ive got almost the same rig and although it was a bit jerky for a minute or so the first time it loaded and again for a few seconds the first time I entered combat it ran really smooth the rest of the time without me changing anything.

    Really love this demo...

If the full game lives up to it, it's a definite purchase for me!

just playing through the demo again and something funny happened, the first goblin charged me, i froze the floor and he slipped, i walked around him, he came at me again and slipped but fell in an odd way landing on his head. It was dead! Almost like it had snapped its neck or something! I hadn't actually hit it once...a glitch perhaps?

Has anyone tried the open beta yet? You will have to register at Gamespot (it will ask you to confirm that you are age 17 or older though) and receive your key for download via Steam. I found the whole process very fast and smooth, just as is Steam. The multiplayer beta is extremely fun, there are several maps to play and up to 32 players in one server. Personally I prefer to play as a warrior but the real kickers are mages and priests that seem to be overpowered. Anyway, here's the link:

Also you might want to have a look at the new Dark Messiah teaser site. At this point counted this to be something like 4th (!!!) official homepage for Dark Messiah but whatever - looks really cool. :) And there you can read some additional info about the game that can't be found anywhere else so it might be worth to have a look at it. Link is here:

See you around either in Disciples of Sareth or in the multiplayer!

I have a 3200+ and am using an AGP ATI x800 XT Platinum and it seems to run happily enough as long as I don't go beserk with the settings.
