    But if Nintendo go strong with connectivity between the DS and Wii maybe people will see them as one? With the styling, it's as though Nintendo have a new 'brand'.

    The DS sold becuase of the consiouse choice by Nintendo to target a larger market. Hands on experiences are only a part of that and not the sole pillar by wich succes was achieved.
    The marketing, the software, the price, the styling, the interesting control method.
    They are following a similar strategie with the Wii.
