TJ suspended for two years for taking a substance that I've never heard of called EPO which Cody previously accused him of taking. Jeff Novitzky says it's hella serious and can only be taken by injecting, so no tainted supplement BS with this one. Oh dear oh dear.

EPO was massive in cycling when shit got real with doping. It (debateable efficacy but enough cycling teams used it to make this point less debateable) stimulates the creation of more blood cells and therefore improves stamina. And you can only increase this (it is a naturally occuring protein) by subcutaneous or intravenous application.

Naughty boy. If what they say is true he's bang to rights

Him not contesting it is pretty damning, plus the anecdotal evidence from Cody sounds extra credible now.

And there was me thinking Cody was the tool in that rivalry.

Thatís two (former) TAM fighters who have taken lengthy, uncontested PED bans on the chin: first Chad Mendes, now TJ. Snake emoji.

Surprised most don't know about EPO. I'm pretty confident it's the most abused PED in MMA. Forget your power, imagine a drug that allows you to strike, sprawl, grapple for 25mins? EPO was always bound to be the go-to drug.

What's clear is that due to it's expense in testing, it isn't tested regularly. I imagine a lot more guys are gonna start failing the EPO smell test soon enough.

Slithershaw is done. Let him go sell sam Bang peanut butter.

I don't know what you mean? OK so yes the entire flyweight division may not exist much longer, the bantamweight champ is a piece of shit, the featherweight champ is fighting for the interim lightweight belt because the champ is suspended, the middleweight champ is out with an injury, the light heavyweight champ is a piece of shit and the heavyweight champ is on his way out the door and due to fight someone who hasn't had a legit win in 8 years. But Welterweight is ALL GOOD.

Does this guy post anything that isn't either about McGregor or related to things outside the ring?...

Two big interim title fights this weekend. Really looking forward to Holloway Poirier. Will be interesting to see how Holloway looks without such a big cut against a more experienced (at that weight) Lightweight.
I think Max will probably manage to wear Poirier down into the championship rounds.

Any one giving Holm's a chance against Nunes in a couple months?

Can cause a stroke if you take too much. Few young athletes have found that out the hard way.

Twas a great card. Co and main were fucking great. Izzy Vs Kelvin was one of the best fights I've seen in a long time.

Couldn't believe how much better Rowntree looked as well, he was like a different fighter.

Yep, three great fights. Adesanya impressed me the most though, keeping his composure against the genuine threat of one punch knockout and managing to land his own power shots consistently.

I'm not sure I enjoy watching people like Holloway fight. They're amazing and everything, but I find their style so suffocating to watch, just the constant barrage is really gruelling.

    @Lukus

Yeah I genuinely thought it would be an early night for Kelvin when he rocked him early on. That 5th rd was absolutely amazing. Adesanya dismantled him at the end and another 10 secs or so I think the ref would of stopped it.

Fantastic fights last night, came away impressed with both title winners.
Wasn't too sold on Adesanya heading in but that can be put to rest.

Poirier's also been on a tear lately. His guard in particular was very effective last night. It prevented Max from landing cleanly through a lot of the fight, to both the body and head. It was pretty noticeable early on. Impressed with his defensive work and obviously his crisp boxing.

Dustin has been one of my favourite fighters for so many years -- it's great he's managed to nab a belt. Not sure how he'll do against Khabib, but at least he has an aggressive, attacking bottom game to give him a fighting chance once the inevitable takedown occurs -- something Khabib's recent opponents haven't had in their arsenal.

Just rewatched Adesanya Vs Gastelum. That last round is insane, particularly the last 90 seconds. Fack me Izzy fucking blitzes him.

Was a great event but the crowd got pretty annoying either booing cause they wanted the knock out or constant Woooo's
