I was trying to find that goal some Brazilian bloke scored against Man U in the World Club Championships. It was like Bergkamps against Newcastle, but just er, better ![]() |

Do you not think that Denise Birdcam fouled the defended? If the defender had pushed Bergkamp like that it would have been a penalty. As good as he was that was a fluke.
This was pretty awesome.
This however is the best ever. Period. -

Who scored? The commentator didn't make it very clear.
With out a doubt, if you say otherwise you are a liar. -
This from Henrik Larsson against Rangers in his first OF game since breaking his leg -
I'm a Utd fan - and yes i've always thought that george best 'dribble' around 3 players not trying to get the ball off him was over-rated!
The thing is with long shots i always think there's an element of luck about them, no matter how spectacular. If i tried to do what rooney did against newcastle i'd get it wrong 1000s of times no doubt. But eventually, through pure luck, i might just hammer it in. I scored a few very lucky goals in my sunday league days which looked superb... and i claimed in the pub that i'd meant
But this one is just fantastic. I'd never have even thought of doing what sinclair does and there's not a chance in a million years i would ever have been able to hit the ball, let alone smack it in! -

What a shocker your favourite goal would be a crazy volley -
Looks more like a little monkey to me, but there you go... -

Was there an actual Pele goal you were referring to, then? I can't think of any really amazing goals he's scored.
Odd that Pele is best remembered for his misses! -

A bit over-rated really, but pretty good for a 17 year old in a world cup final!

Seriously, I can't pick one goal as the best..
There's nice long distance shots like Rooney's but then there's no build-up the ball just falls to him perfectly.. There's plenty of freekicks like that one by Roberto Carlos, or some by Beckham for example.. then there's great solo efforts, like some of Cantona's goals - and I remember Romario scoring some beauties when he was at PSV and Barca also..
- but its great to see all these goals - keep the links coming! =)
