Thank you for the Dallas reference! I was trying to think of what she reminded me of all last night, apart from the world's most terrifying transvestite.
Though Bannatyne acted like a real t**t last night to that guy who eventually went with Theo and Deborah - whilst the guy obviously needs to steel himself up for making big decisions in the future, he was perfectly within his rights to ask what the other dragons were willing to offer and there was no need for him to be spoken to the way Bannatyne did. -

How she got an investment is beyond me. I won't even comment on her appalling pitch, but the idea of websites which allow multiple buyers of presents isn't new, but none of the dragons seemed aware of this. I'm sure there are a lot of sites which do this already, for wedding gifts for example.
She didn't even seem sure if she actually owned the source code and had no clue about how the site was even built. Essentially all she'd done is buy a domain name and pay somebody to put what looks like a skinned e-commerce site together. The design isn't even good - It's too busy, confusing, doesn't instantly give you an idea what the site is about (if at all) and the graphics are inconsistent and sporadic.
I dispair. -

Registered 16 years agoI like the new dragon. Looks like a witch and has zero dress style, but she's direct and doesn't take crap. Though what history does she have in investing in business? She's only got a pallet one.
The Scottish guy has always been a cock. Will miss Caen. Didn't really pick the greatest investments, but he was always polite and chilled.
Anyway, the anti splashback device was awesome!

Registered 15 years agoWell yeah, but it's no way to run a business. They didn't seem to have any control over costs. It's like my bro, when he ran a pub...would seldom stick money behind the bar if he was the other side and eventually that's got to have an impact on takings.
Edit: agree they should be able take figures in with them, sure when pitching to other investment angels you'd have that on a powerpoint or something -
