I've stopped using Amazon. Searching for stuff seems to bring up all the cheap imitations. Also that you can't buy a Chromecast or Google home is rubbish.

Delivery is hope to see it sometime that day and they ar3 charging for returns.

I tried to watch a Prime video though my Chromecast as my fire stick broke and it wasn't having it, stuttering and freezing until I disconnected.

I like the Amazon Lockers. There are quite a few near me so I just get stuff sent to those and pick it up on the way home from work or whatever. Free delivery (if it's available) gets stuff delivered within two days in most cases. Next day is pretty common.

I've started searching in Google now for items. Before it would be Amazon first and I'd assume they were the best value, but they tend not to be these days. The cheap imitations is another minefield I'm sick of crossing.

Wrong in the sense of not paying them an extra £80/year? Essentially for a virtual guarantee you'll then go on to spend a fuck load more just to get value out of your prime sub. Great business model, they're on to a real weiner with it.

I did a night course at college, and got a student card. Went for a month got a lot out of it. Then got amazon prime for free for 6 months with the card. Cost me £59 in course fees for the month.

Just preordered Warioware Gold & Captain Toad on 3DS and I didn't get the option for free delivery.

Cheapest option was £2.99 for before to be delivered the day after release.

Am I missing something? I'm sure there used to be a free delivery option, I'm not bothered about getting them even on release day.

They have something similar here, but it's a bloke in a car who comes round within 2 hours.

Well we watch plenty of the Prime TV stuff especially the kids, you don't have to join prime you know! And I only order from Amazon items if they're the best price, I don't understand the resentment.

There’s a lot of value other than Delivery in Prime that people seem to miss with TV/Video, Music, Kindle Lending Library, Prime Reading and £2 discount on game pre-orders. I guess a lot of people already have equivalents like Netflix and Spotify though. Also if a delivery is late, a quick Live Chat gets a free month extension, but compared to when I first got it in 2016 delivery is pretty solid now.

Did you make sure that you were buying from Amazon, or a "fulfilled by Amazon" third party seller? The free delivery on orders over £20 only applies on goods delivered by/from Amazon.

    Yeah, both directly from Amazon.

Three out of the four orders I placed yesterday wont be here until tomorrow. Seems it's more the norm than the exception these days.

I'm working from home today so I can collect the delivery. Just got an email update saying it'll arrive between 5 and 6 tonight.

    Well, that was pointless.

My Amazon Locker good luck appears to have run out. Had an item out for delivery yesterday (at 18:53, according to the tracker) but it's now, um, expected "by" the 17th.

There's one of those near me now. Might be useful for days I know I'm going to be out.

@Psychotext There are four near me (two within about 500m of each other, oddly) and, other than yesterday's weirdness, I've never had an issue with them. I mentioned it in another post but free delivery to them, if it's available, is quicker than getting it sent to my house (usually within two days).

Not Amazon related, but I bought some Asics trainers from their website and as I knew I wouldn't be in, used the shop drop off option. The fuckers refused to sign for it!

Had my first fuck up too. Needed 3 items to be delivered on Wed. Ordered them Monday, arrived Thursday. Still need to complain.

My order was "out for delivery" again today from 11:00 but, as it still hasn't been delivered (cut-off was 20:00) I'm calling bullshit. It's been on the van for two days running so, um, fuck knows.

It can't be Locker space as they tell you when you order if one is full/will be full before the delivery date.
