Just had the dreaded 'delivered to resident' message on my account - I assume it's a neighbour but which out of the 20 is it?!. The fact that Amazon cannot be arsed to let the recipient know whom or where they have left it makes me want to not bother with them. Their support was fine - yes £5 promotion vouncher thing and a promise to call me tomorrow to see if I have it or sort a refund is all ok but the leaving a message is the simplest of things to do (whether on a card or on my account). If the Royal Mail can do it why can't they? Edited by MrWonderstuff at 16:59:53 21-05-2018 |

Registered 3 years agoAh fuck, I just received an email saying they couldn’t delivery my thing (I’m elsewhere) but I can’t change the delivery address? It’s my own fault I guess but they have the different addresses I use so why can’t I change it now. 🧐 -

Because the sticker is already on the packet and that's exactly what a nefarious hax0r would do, probably.

Registered 6 years agoOrdered, erm, "several" whiskies during prime day and, yeah, I know I fucked up not realising they needed me (and just me, apparently) to sign for them all, but fuck me has it been painful. -

Registered 16 years ago@AboutHalfaStevas About a year ago, I ordered some non-alcoholic mixers from Amazon. Although clearly intended for making cocktails, they contained no alcohol themselves.
Amazon still insisted on the "you must be present to accept this parcel in person because it contains alcohol" rigmarole, despite me ringing them up and talking customer service over the phone through the part of the product description on their own site which said "THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT CONTAIN ALCOHOL". -

Registered 4 years agoMy wife ordered something - on Monday we had a docket from Amazon logistics pushed through the door with the day's date on it and "Behind bin" written on it.
Nothing behind or inside the bins. "Handed to resident" on the online tracker.
As she's on the phone to Amazon - the Amazon deliveryman arrives in his white van and delivers the package that was supposedly left behind the bin earlier.
I'm still confused. -

Registered 16 years agoYeah, we had the week leading up to my daughter's birthday. We had a third more orange slips than we had packages. -

Registered 13 years agoHermes delivered a package for me. I wasn't home but it said delivered to neighbour. Missus gets home and takes photo of it 'delivered to the neighbour'. They put a card through the door to say it's on your porch. No shit.

Registered 15 years agoTheir "prime" delivery is bollocks, their non-prime delivery even bollocksier and I can usually find that same thing on eBay cheaper. Haven't used Amazon for a year now. -
Why. What? No. I use Argos when I can
now but I still need things from Amazon.
