    I'd give it a 7/10 myself.

Great variety of games, very dull presentation.

Apart from darts, which is just super.

A good 2 months, 9 days, and 4 emails after it being "dispatched"!

But anyway, it's a pretty neat game for what it is.

PLease can someone tell me how to play Hanafuda? I just don't get it! (may be called something different in this package, and I can't be assed to look!)
This is probably my favourite game of the lot. It's called Koi-Koi on my version, a variant of Hanafuda.

The object of the game is to make sets of cards to win points off their opponent. Each player starts with 50 points and play over 12 games.

The deck is made up of 48 cards and are split into 12 suits or seasons of 4 and have a different plant or flower representing each season.

Each player is dealt 8 cards and 8 cards are placed into the field of play.

On your turn you select a card to play from your hand. If it matches the season of a card in the field then you claim both cards and they are laid face up in front of you. If it matches the season of two cards in the field then you choose which one it matches and claim only that one as well as the played card. If three cards in the field match the season then you claim all of those season cards. If there is no match or if you don't want to claim any cards then you just add the card to the field.

The field now has an odd number cards so a card is drawn from the stack. If it matches in season any of the field cards then, as with your played card you can claim those cards. The fields should be left with an even number of cards.

At this point the player declares any sets that they have. They can then call the game, win and be awarded points for their sets or they can koi-koi. This means that play continues and the next player to make a new set wins the game. If no new set is made then the player who called koi-koi wins. A player who loses after calling koi-koi gets no points at all. The idea in calling koi-koi is if you think you can make another set before your opponent and gain more points.

Play then moves to the other player and ends when the last cards are played from both players' hands.

    Sets

Moon: Pampas High (AKA Moon, looks like a white disc above a black mound) + Cherry Blossom High (Full bloom of cherry blossom in some sort of vessel) 5pts - This set also doubles your total score for the game

Blossom: Cherry Blossom High + Chrysanthemum High (AKA Cup, full bloom of chrysanthemum, there is apparently a cup in the picture which I can't see) 5pts

Light cards, the following sets are made from the light cards:-
Stork (High pines with stork and sun)
    High Cherry Blossom
    Moon
Rain Man (High Willow with a man on it)
High Paulownia Tree (Not sure I can describe this, sorry)

Dry Three Lights: Three light cards excluding Rain Man 5pts
Four Rainy Lights: Four light cards including Rain Man 7pts
Four Dry Lights: Four light cards excluding Rain Man 8pts
    Five Lights: 10pts

Earth: Five Earth cards (earth cards have animals on them) 1 pt (extra point for each additional earth card)

Boar, Deer, Butterfly (BDB): Boar (Clover with boar) + Deer (Maple with deer) + Butterfly (Peony with butterflies) 5pts (extra points for each extra Earth card)

Scroll sets, there are 10 scroll cards, 4 plain (red scrolls without writing), 3 red (red scrolls with writing) and 3 blue.

Red Scroll: All red scroll cards 5pts (additional scroll cards of any variety yield an extra point each)
Blue Scroll: All blue scroll cards 5pts (additional scroll cards of any variety yield an extra point each)
Red and Blue Scrolls: All red and blue scroll cards 10pts (additional plain scroll cards yield an extra point each)
Scroll Bonus: Any five scroll cards 1pt(additional scroll cards of any variety yield an extra point each)

Basic cards, they are made up of all the non special cards

Basic Bonus: 10 basic cards 1pt (additional basic cards yield an extra point each)

Four of a Kind: 4 cards of the same month in your hand. Can only be played at the very start and ends the game right there. 6pts

Paired Months: Four pairs of different months in your hand. Can only be played at the very start and ends the game right there. 6pts

My father has become addicted to this.

And yesterday, the DS was on low battery, so he put it on charge.

What game? Some aren't too popular online I've found.

Picked this up a couple of days ago and thought it was a bit cheap looking and crap. Yet I seem to be spending 2 hours at a time playing on it, so my first impressions were sorely wrong. I am impressed they have President on there - that's all we played in my 6th form common room.

The only thing that's annoying me now is the lack of people who seem to be online when I am.

Actually, just tried bowling online, and it was a blast.

Being forced to set phrases means that your opponents appear very polite, too!

    Apparently I'm ranked 7612nd out of 9999 :D

This game can now be picked up for just under a tenner on Tesco Online! You have Murbal's bargain hunting skills to thank.

This arrived from Tesco today and played it for around an hour. It's really well presented with excellent on-screen instructions for each game. I've been playing spit constantly trying to beat the 90 second limit.

Has anyone had a problem registering their VIP code? I was careful not to confuse "o" for "0" but the Nintedo site wont accept it.

    I'll repeat that:

    \o/

Colleague was in Tesco and they had 2 copies on the shelf for a tenner each. He bought one, thought of me, then bought the other too.

    I am so freaking naughty!

There was a whole thread about this - it seems quite a few people (myself included) haven't been able to register their copy. Nintendo haven't replied to anyone's emails, either. :(
