Registered 14 years agoHope they don't compromise the disc lineup for the sake of microtransactions (doubt it, but who knows). -
Tho on the other hand if there was ever a game that lent itself to downloadable content...
I doubt they'd cripple the main disk in comparison to the PS2 version. All the signs point towards them offering extra tracks for download on top of the 30 tracks the PS2 version offers.
Although given the fact that the tracks are basically all the content they have (it's not like the gameplay alters significantly or anything...), I'd be surprised if any of the tracks available for D\L are particularly special. -
Hm, yes, probably. Although I wouldn't be surprised if GH2 appears on PS3 and GH3 appears on PS2, if that makes sense!
As long as I can pick up a USB adaptor for my existing GH controllers I look forward to the new versions on next gen consoles. If I have to invest in two new guitars for multiplayer mayhem I might be a bit less enthused... -

Hopefully this means GH2 on Xbox360... and then they will re-release all the GH1 songs but with an extra playable track for a 2nd player
Mmmmm.... guess I need to start saving for a 360 then :-D -
Is that controller confirmed wireless? -

Registered 14 years agoI really don't like that guitar. A white version of the original would've been nice.
Not sure about this. It's obviously good news for 360 owners but it's the same content on the disc for more money - I can't see this being released at £50. The DL stuff is awesome but with the amount of time and effort put into making new tracks I reckon they'll be released on the PS2 on a disc anyway. So, which platform to choose... -

It's not going to be £50 as you'll need the guitar to play it with. -

That's my point. PS2 version will be £50 but what will MS charge? £60?£70? This isn't a game that requires shinier graphics to enjoy so I may just go for the cheaper version.

If you don't want the DLC go for the PS2 version. No brainer -

True - it wouldn't make sense for them to author new songs etc. and then not sell them on as many formats as possible

However, with the DLC I get them quicker (even though it may cost more to buy the songs as DLC than wait for the add-on disc) and that's what's most important to me - I'm so impatient -

Erm, so, anyone heard anymore about this? I Googled but found nothing but rumoured release dates.
Played the PS2 version over the weekend extensively. It's brilliant. In fact, I think I'm slightly obsessed with it. -

Registered 13 years agoI wouldn't mind paying for downloadable content in this.
Maybe like PGR 3 pricing?
500 for ten songs, or one free one and then 90 points each for individual ones? -

I doubt it. The DLC should make it a more then worthwhile purchase, unless it's madly priced. -

Hm, I still prefer the original SG meself. One of which I have finally manage to kill after countless hours of hitting the buttons too hard. On Bark at the Moon, mostly. \o/
Online play would be cool, although I kinda think most of the appeal with multiplayer GH is seeing people parading around and posing with the guitar. It'd be a shame to lose that aspect of it, although I'm sure the uptake would be pretty good regardless. -
Do we even know which quarter this is coming out in.. it looks pretty far on from that pic?
