2 year thread bump!

Looks very Advent Children-ish. Does make you wonder where this was being shown though, as it was a no-show at E3?

I think they've called a halt to development on this because they were getting considerably ahead of the rival team doing FFXIII, and this is supposed to come out after.

I'm looking forward to the double whammy.

They denied that development had been stopped. Just that members of the team for this were also helping with FFXIII.

No, development is on hold, i.e. stopped, until the proper game comes out.

In local news!

"Reports that development for Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on hold are false," the publisher said in a statement passed on to Eurogamer.

"The truth of the situation is that when free, some staff from the Versus team have been helping with the XIII team on development of Final Fantasy XIII. Development for both titles is continuing as originally scheduled."

Versus doesn't mean anything to me anyway, I don't know anything about it, I hope that XIII normal version is a return to form though...

I liked 12, but I came in at 7, then didn't like 8, tried to like 9, then found the absolutely perfect 6...

12 felt a bit like an MMO to me though

As long as you liked 12 we are cool... is what I wanted to say, but I'm not sure how I feel about our relationship after you've just said you didn't like 8 and 9. You like 6 so you've still got the same warm heart from when we first met... 2 posts prior.

I'll probably actually play 8 and 9 again. At the time, I was a bit young and couldn't appreciate them. Any idea what the going rate is on them at the moment?

It's cos your computer is too powerful and your internets too fast apparently. Dual core processors and a connection above 1.5meg cause the skipping a lot. Hope Adobe sort it out, probably won't bother though...

I think on my playthrough of 8 I got about 15-20 hours in, then decided I didn't like it. Bought the special edition in the massive box and everything

Will give it another go...

I went from "This is fantastic" to "This is a bit shit" several times before I decided it was my favourite. It doesn't help that the characters (especially Squall) aren't particularly likeable.
