Damn, from what I've heard you can't change the delivery address due to some stupid reason to do with the courier company. No doubt mines will come late afternoon and I'll miss it. I'm guessing it will get sent to a depot rather than being left with a neighbour, and they probably won't re-deliver until "the next working day". Idiots
Mate they use this company to do all their deliveries. It might be a good idea to give them a bell to change your address if you can find a goddamn number on their website.

Yeah I'm pretty sure thats the company. Just looked at my email from Argos and it said that my delivery time is 1pm-6pm with is of no use whatsoever. According to the website, they "do not give out the depot specific telephone numbers". Excellent customer service!

WTF you got an email. I've received jack diddly-shiit from them yet. They've just been sitting on my money for over a month!

I got the email straight after I pre-ordered it, it was just basically a recipt telling me that the money had been charged to my card, the total cost including delivery and the estimated delivery time(although it does say it will be delivered on Thursday 23rd November). There is a bit at the bottom that says "If a delivery date isn't shown above, a member of our customer service team will
contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day as soon as your goods are ready
    to be dispatched."

Thought I would add to all of this. The email that I got from Argos stated that I would get a letter 7-10 days before the 8th. I called them yesterday and mentioned that no letter had arrived.

The customer services person said that no letters will go out but someone will call. She also said that depending on where you live you will either get it on Friday or Saturday.

The thing that bugs me is that if I call back today (which I will in a minute) I will get a different response.

Will let you know what happens!

OK - just called again (bet they hate me!).

Spoke to a lady at customer services who looked at my order and it had been allocated a delivery time of between 7am and 6pm on Friday! I have booked the whole day off so we shall see if it arrives.

I asked her to check again and she said that it says that one will be delivered on Friday. Fingers crossed then.

    Hope this helps.

I just had the EXACT same conversation with them (after saying I was expecting a letter 7-10 days before delivery), fingers crossed indeed!

Message on my answerphone from Argos. No Wii. "Hopeful" they will get one to me by Christmas...

I will be phoning them up shortly as they guaranteed I would get one on the phone before I ordered. On the site when I ordered. Via E-Mail 2 weeks ago...

If I don't succeed by shouting looks like I'll be at Tesco at midnight tomorrow... Either that or Santa doesn't exist for my kids...

Yup, loads of calls going round at the moment, automated ones for the succesful few by the sounds of it.

Worringly there appears to be no fairness in how they've allocated, on the ONM site people didn't get one who order way before those that have just got the automated call.

Oh dear, another launch mess by the looks of things.

I pre-ordered around the 10th November and got one from Argos :)

I didn't expect to though. I think it might have a lot to do with the store near to you as I imagine each local store gets allocated a set number possibly.

If that's the delivery company I wish you good luck! Just had a parcel delivered by them from Amazon, a full 1 week late! They said they tried to deliver it last Wednesday, which is a lie since I was home all day, and they did not attempt another delivery until today!

The worst thing is, I already cancelled my order on Monday, but Amazon couldn't get hold of them to not deliver the item!

Just talked to some young scouser at Argos - they've got no idea what the score is as there is another 'team' who are handling the calling of people.

He did drop in one interesting snippet of info though - they have 17,000 orders to get through!

Whether he meant they have 17,000 pre-orders or will actually be shipping 17,000 over the next couple of days I dunno ...

From another forum about the Argos shipment problems, if you don't live near any of thes depots, you'll be fine:

"Allocation is according to location not date of order.

5 distribution depots are affected: Swindon, Notts, Preston, Warrington and one other."

Just to add to this again....

I rang them this morning :) Automated phonecalls will continue throughout today and if you DON'T get a call then you WILL be getting a Wii.

That's all they could tell me. They couldn't say if it was on a truck for delivery tomorrow. Even if I call tomorrow they can't tell me if I will be getting it. What a load of @rse!

m0, did you get a call at all from them confirming it would be delivered tomorrow - you know like the ones we got.

    Just curious.

No call saying it would be delivered, had the original email saying thanks for the pre order etc, and that it would be delivered on the release date. But then this morning a phone call saying it would not be delivered as they do not have them and a shipment "should" come next week which is when it will be despatched me me. My brother had the same call yesterday.

We both live very close to warrington so if the rumor is correct and that depo is one that does not have any then it could be the reason for us both not getting ours.

Gutted, if they do not get this shipment we wont get it before xmas. leaves me a week to find my son a present :(

I called Argos again this morning and pestered them until I got some kind of answer.

They started off by giving me the number for Home Delivery Network who are their couriers. I called them and they couldn't help at all.

Rang Argos back and this time asked to speak to a manager. She wouldn't do that but spoke to the manager herself. They confirmed that my order number was on the delivery sheet for tomorrow.

So for those that still don't know get them to check the delivery sheets which are now available.

I rang earlier, chap said I'm getting it tomorrow.

Rang just now and snotty lady starts telling me I won't get anyhting until next week, and that will be a phone call to tell me when I'll get it.

TBH, don't believe anything these @rseholes say! The proof will be in the pudding. The worst thing is they are delivering to my work address and I'm off after tomorrow and I can't change it supposedly without cancelling my order!

its pathetic, i was trying to work out the ammount of profit they have made from pre order. If the ammount of 17000 pre orders is right. Then they have made upwards of £93000 by doing nothing bar taking our money and annoying alot of customers.

If will be even more annoying if people who are queing up out side the shops this week walk away with a wii, as effectively i have been queing for over a month :(
