I got a 360 at launch and I have pre-ordered a Wii. I am looking forward to getting it, but then some days I think maybe I'd be better focussing on my 360 and spending all my money on that instead?? Just can't decide if I've made the right decision. My biggest concern is the graphics. I have a nice 32" Sharp HDTV and have recently being playing GoW and boy does it look good. But despite the 360's incredible graphisc and 2007 line-up, I still really want to get my hands on Wii Sports, Zelda, Monkey Ball, MP3, Mario, Warioware etc. I just feel kinda bad about the money I'm spending when I already have a 'next-gen' console! Anyone else in my 'Wii60" position? What are your thoughts? you having second thoughts? can't wait? what about the graphics, worried about the downgrade or don't care? Any other 360 owners out there who have pre-ordered a Wii?

I'm pretty sure there are, oooh, a hundred threads discussing why we're looking forward to the Wii, or not. -

Fair enough! Out a matter of interest, did you own a Gamecube? -
I pre-order everything, might as well. If you don't want it someone else can always take it off you, but too many times now I have decided I must have one at launch and it's been too late. -

Yeah, exactly why I pre-ordered a Wii!
Regarding the hype, it's just difficult to tell the Wii hype apart from people who are genuinely excited by the Wii and the Nintendo fanboys who hype everything up!

Registered 16 years agoYup, I'll be Wii60'd up come the 8th.
I've been a little disappointed with the lack of variety and general murder-death-kill style of most of the 360 games so I'm really looking forward to getting back into some of my favoured style uber-gaming with Zelda.
I'll keep the 360 but will just cherry pick the best games for each format as they come along, despite the rather dry first 12 months, there's some great looking/sounding games coming out on the 360 in the next 3-6 months ...
Not bothered at all about the weakness of the Wii technically although I do have an intolerance of jaggies so while I can forgive them for not being able to push 100 billion polygons per second etc, I wish they'd included AA ..

Registered 18 years agoI have a 50" and 32" HDTV and a 360 since dinner time or was that launch? I've played the Gamecube on the 50" HDTV through a RGB scart and Soul Calibur II still looks gorgeous; Odama doesn't look over clever with all the little sprites looking blocky. The US Cube games I have look good in 480p played via my Panasonic Q using a component cable; Mario Strikers look exceptional.
People are brainwashed into thinking that; all games that aren’t HD will look shit. I’ve had more graphical issues with the Xbox 360 than any other console. I watched the 1 UP Thanksgiving special where they discussed Zelda TP. This stupid lass contradicted herself on several occasions. Firstly she said that “The graphics were shit because the Wii is so underpowered.” She then went on to say “The art style is amazing and the work that went into making every house different in the village was fantastic.” She then started pissing her knickers about how good the game would have looked on the 360 and she also complained and said “That she preferred the Wind Waker style of graphics.”
At the end of the day she did say that “Zelda TP is a 10 and should be GOTY.” There were 5 people sitting discussing the game and they all marvelled at how you could shoot an arrow across Hyrule. “You can look as far as the eye can see with out a pop-up” they said. Would this be the case on the 360?
I’m really looking forward to the Wii but I still have reservations about the console; or was that a pre-order. Even if the console ends up the biggest pile of shit since the Jaguar it will still be worth a purchase just for Zelda. -

Launch 360, never had a problem. Spends most of its time rendering Geometery Wars though

Registered 16 years agoI have mine preordered too. I think its more a case of PS3 or 360 than 360 or Wii, its not really comparable to either of them. Its a fun inovative way to interact with games that offers things the others dont.
For the price and with the availability of Zelda on launch I dont think I could refuse it. I have however no intention of buying a PS3 any time in the next 24 months.
There is a consideration I guess of using HD display devices with it but it doesnt really effect me as I use a monitor for the 360.

Registered 17 years agoHopefully I'll get one on launch day. Really want to play MP:3 (although its not a launch game) probably get zelda for it -
I'm far more curious than needy, so I'm waiting until after Xmas (I have to kill terrists until then in Las Vegas).
Will be my first Nintendo console since the N64, if I do take the plunge. To be honest, I only play games a few hours a week nowadays, so I'm into the pick up and play aspects (even Gears of War has required too much time input for me), so I guess the Wii will be good for that. -

Registered 18 years agoThe majority of people buying a Wii won't have a HDTV; I initially had my 360 running on a SDTV that had 480p and it looked fine. I haven't seen what the 360 looks like via a scart connection on a SDTV so I can't comment. The Wii should look fine compared to the Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube on a SDTV; the question is....... How bad does the 360 and PS3 look on a standard TV set? -

Registered 20 years agoI actually have a Wii pre-order (and a 360). Never have pre-ordered hardware in my entire life before, come to think of it.
I reckon it'll be a blast, and as said, should be a nice complement to the large amounts of eye-candy, engrossing violence and online play of the Xbox. -
The only game I'm interested in out of the Wii launch line-up is Zelda TP, which also be available-and developed -for the Gamecube. The rest of the launch line-up is very gimmicky without any depth.
So no need for a Wii for me untill there will be a killer app for the Wii.
I expect a lot of Mariogames, which is not my style.
The next console next to my 360 will be a PS3.
