You can still ignore mods by manually crafting links (e.g. *removed*).
Also, you should perform additional input validation / escaping / filtering on user-input in profile strings (e.g. gamertag).

Who is craigy btw? I didn't think posting the link was doing much harm as it seemed rather obvious, but I apologize for it anyway... :)

erm... you should probably remove that ignore link from your post.

Oh and BTW - it might also be useful if the ignore user checking also prevented someone from accidentally ignoring themselves; that way, if anyone messes about with ignore links you won't get some dumb kid accidentally ignoring themselves and spamming the forum in a fit of pique ;-)

Might be an idea to email that to them directly rather than broadcast it on a tard infected forum...

    Er, so?

I can't see anyone bothering with that particular "hack" and it's unfixable anyway.

Why? Simply verifiy the [mod] flag on the user about to be ignored and proceed accordingly? It's not rocket-science.

Alternatively, you could click the "Ignore poster" link which is still visible when on the reply page.

I don't have any links visible on the reply page anymore.

Which is shit, because I often notice that someone has posted between the post i'm replying to and my reply, so i used to use that quote link more than the one on the view page.

Aw, you're right. They've vanished. They were still there after the 2.0 switch.

    BOO

harmless hack to fix, while you're at it. it opens links in the current window, instead of a new one.

Weird innit. It's sounds like the lesser-spotted 'noob-mod' calling I heard only exsisted in the outerreaches of the internet.

    :)

I guess there hasn't been much of an introduction - I'm the new developer, charged with the task of making your beloved site work in new, exciting, and sometimes unexpected ways! If the forum's broken, it's probably my fault.

LIAR! You're not on the staff page, so it can't be true!
