Yeah i just wondered how such a dull character gets the jester as a nick or they just couldnt think of another rhyming with leicester.

I thought it was like if you have a massive mate and hilariously call him 'tiny'.

John Higgins: The cunt of Wishaw, is that how it works ;)

Look on the wiki page, there are some great names I was never even aware of!

Alison Fisher: The Dutchess of Doom.

Pasty Fagan: The Pin Up Boy.....!!!!!!!

Well this is shite. Selby has been rubbish. Much like Higgins's previous match against Hawkins he is playing quite poorly but somehow managing to scrap his way to frames.

As per usual, the matches leading up to the final have been much higher quality than the actual final. Selby versus Ding was fantastic, this has been turgid.

This is the first time I have actually wanted to see Selby win in ages and he hasn't turned up. FFS. Hopefully he'll be able to stop Honest John tomorrow.

Well the last few frames were great, hopefully after a good nights sleep they'll both be back in good form.

Yes and no mate, obviously anyone apart from cunt Higgins but massive let down having these 2 in the final. Don't forget mate due to my "older" years, I watched all the great finals, from 81 onwards ;)

I haven't watched any of this final, just checking in here and on bbc sport page.

Their slow play means frames have to be carried over to the evening session.

@DUFFMAN5 I kind of remember the 85 final, but that could be because they have replayed it so often. The first one I truly remember is 1992. 147 from White. It was the final where Jimmy lead 14-8 and never won a frame after that. Gutting as wanted Jimmy to win as he went to my school, way before me obviously ;)

Yeah, I know I was there for the 85, and I remember enjoying it but I can't remember anything but Taylor's glasses from the time.

I think I saw bits of the '92 one, as I remember being desperately disappointed for White, and hoping for years after that he'd do well.

All I know is I won't remember any of this years final, because I haven't watched any of it. The Selby/Ding semi on the other hand...

Wonder how much Higgins will make by throwing away 6 frame lead? Bent cunt. Can't believe some proles on BBC website etc are saying shit like "come on Jon you can do it!", Trumpexiteers, clearly.
