So is anyone planning to order one tomorrow?

I've had my 7 Plus for two years and feel like a change but £1250 is a lot to pay for a phone.

Not me, my X still feels brand new even if it's seriously battered after meeting an elevator door as detailed in another thread a while ago.

Indeed. I couldn't justify spending half that for any phone.

I think I might get the XR3 through our work purchase thing. They gimped the right specs, for once.

Is Russell Hobbs a posh company? I have a coffee machine from them and the power button went out pretty fast and now turns off after one second. So to make coffee I have to stand there for 5 minutes and press the button every 1.01 seconds.

The button on my iPhone 3G went nowhere near that fast.
Russell Hobbs posh? Not that I'm aware of. Isn't their stuff relatively cheap? I bought a kettle off Amazon a good few years back...seems to be fine.

Yeah, it's not as cheap as Tesco own etc, but one step up. I pretty much only expect them to last a couple of years.

You mean the 3D Touch? I've not used it once in 3 years.

It's the same wide angle lens and sensor as the other two but missing the optical zoom lens, so the quality is exactly the same, you just can't zoom.

And, yeah, literally the only time I ever use 3D touch is to load straight into a radio station on TuneIn radio and even then I usually end up seeing to the next page of apps when I'm trying to press down. It's absolutely worthless.

It also has a more sensible storage tier (128gb is the sweet spot for me) and the battery life is supposed to be the best of the three.

All the functionality of 3D Touch is still in place, just with a longpress instead of a harder press. So you'll still be able to use shortcuts.

I find 3D touch mildly annoying every time it activates instead of the thing I'm trying to do.

Well yes and no, that lens means you can take photos of people (close up) that make them not look like freaks. Shove a wide-angle lense in somebody's face, and they'll always look terrible. You can fill the frame with the face with much less distortion (freakishl large nose, ears, too far behind) with a slightly longer lens simply becasue there's more distance between the lens and the subject.

That's the one thing I'd like to have.

Middle row, basically. If you ever wondered why you look particularly freakish on selfies, that's your answer. :)
