Nice. Iím tempted by the camera but I have an X so smart move is waiting till next year really.
I was going to do this and then I dropped my phone and shattered both front and back glass.
Not a bad shout actually, I might do the same

I don't normally like to bolt on stuff like that but as it's Google I've every confidence it will be OK. Thanks.

@elstoof Really? That's great if thats the case...though everywhere ive looked has suggested the watch has to be attached to the same network contract?
Ah shit, apple say it needs the same carrier - I guess thatís to forward calls that your iPhone receives?

I've had my iPhone 11 Pro MAX for a couple of days now. Upgraded from a 7 Plus. I've got to say I'm extremely impressed with it. I've not really experimented with the camera and video yet but everything zips along without any problems, as you would expect.

Best thing about it is the battery. It charges up quick and it seems to last for ages.

I pre-ordered mine and it didn't ship on release. Had to change the colour to get one within two weeks of the supposed ship date.

Iím not too fussed but the sooner the better, purely because my X screen is smashed. Still functions, itís just not ideal.

Am using a 7. The mic has stopped working so I have to have Bluetooth headphones connected or be in the car to make a call. Not ideal.

I was pretty lucky. I decided to switch from 02 to EE and get the phone from them. Had it the next day.

Dropped my iphone twice this week but no luck. Might have to take it out of the case.

Knowing me Iíll probably smash my iPad by accident.

Just sit tight for another year, by all accounts the next one will be the one to get.

@TommyUnderwear try taking it to a local independent repair shop. They may be able to fix it for a decent price.

@THFourteen just hold out another year of 2. I bet the X you have is fine.

Iíve just upgraded from a slow as heck iPhone 6 (2014) with awful battery life. Got the 11 (couldnít be bothered paying the extra for the pro). Itís night and day compared to my old phone. Fast, and the battery lasts two days. Iím not bothered about the camera stuff, I was happy with the quality of the pics on my old one. I just needed to upgrade after 5 years. Hoping this one lasts me four years. In hindsight I shouldíve upgraded last year given how slow my phone got. I think the trick may be to avoid the yearly OS updates. After the first one or two, updates will probably be likely to slow the phone down..

@BurnoutJunkie yeah. Was thinking that alright if only to have it as a running phone or if the other packs it in out of the blue.

I know that the 6S had a poor one that was subject to a class action I think. I had mine replaced gratis at least a few years back. No idea about the 7 though, sorry.

Fucked or doesnít last long? Even when itís full health, its pathetically small and pretty much anything outside sending a text message canes it.

When I had mine, it was on charge whenever I wasnít moving around and I always carried a charge pack when I went out. Itís the single reason I stopped using it.

The latest iOS update a couple of weeks ago seems to have fucked the battery for a lot of people across multiple devices as well as appearing to cause overheating issues.

    Could that be a factor?

Mine was so bad I couldnít keep it in my pocket it was so hot. You could watch the battery % drain before your eyes too. Even when plugged in on a couple of occasions.

Just doesn't last long. It's at 90% health and a couple of hours browsing canes it. I thought it was the case she was using which didn't turn the screen off automatically, but seems not.

Thanks all. New phone at some point it is.

My camera decided to pack itself in a couple of weeks ago after the latest update. Could have been just a fluke and itís got dropped or water ingress, but seems suspicious to me.
Hoping the next update sorts it out. Both the back flashlight and camera are knackered and itís amazing how much you use the camera, even if you donít take a lot of Ďproperí pics (listing stuff on eBay etc).

Anyone else jumped on the iOS14 beta? Seems pretty nice so far, Home Screen customization is well overdue.

I just put a new battery in my iPhone 8 and it wasn't that difficult really. Watching a couple of vids and buy a cheap battery off Amazon. Make sure you buy a pair of those screen separator pliers, too.

I'm curious, but not enough to risk things not working quite right, yet...

I have to be honest, I used to get the raging horn for all things iOS back in the first 7 or 8 years, but kinda ever since whatever iOS was on the 6S I've stopped really caring what's new. I don't care about a fancy new way to display my apps, or having a ton of crap on the home screen I don't need, or anything AT ALL to do with messages or emojis or fancy camera modes or sleep tracking or health tracking or a new bell and whistle on safari that i never use or anything else.

    Just me?
