Why? I have seen quite a few wanky Apple keynotes in the past to know that they are wanky. iPhone blew me away today though

It's nice and all, but no, not all that interested.

The Apple fanboys here acting like teenage girls at a pop concert are to be expected I guess ;)

    Watching it, now.

It's weird - he shows how you can scroll though a list by using your finger, and the crowd went nuts. :D

I'd be 100% for it as it seems an improvement on most phones I've owned... but... that camera is a real deal breaker for me as I talk lots of photos on my phone.

Hopefully there will be a higher megapixel one in time. Shame, cos (and I really don't like apple style usually) this looks really impressive.

Jesus, this thing is so good, the BBC have said that Apple's shares are up 8% because of it!

very nice, but it's definitely too big unless you do away with your digital camera / ipod and just use the 1 device. Even then, still feel stupid holding something that big to my ear

Be very fun to play with, though and the UI is so nice looking

Benq Siemens designed a phone kinda like it, just a big touchscreen - it was a prototype that loads of phone forums were going mad about

Well I've never been interested in the iPod (I tend to get Creative Zens) but I think this might be my first apple purchase...

I dunno, I'm guessing when the ads hit, it'll just be one of those apple equations:

    ipod + phone

That is the selling point, really.

Well my phone contract runs out in July, I love my N91 but this is amazing.

Shame its not a smartphone - but I don't use 3g so not bothered about it not having that

Is the battery removeable/replaceable tho- and they better make sure you can charge it via USB etc whilst plugged into the PC!

8GB Looks like the best option, as I think im right in saying there isnt an oppotunity to expand the memory!

tilting displays on phones isn't new, neither is purely a touch screen interface, see here:

Does itunes let you run two ipods off the same PC? I don't think it does, which put the 40gig ipod owners from getting one of these.
