I think I've just worked out what my next cat is going to be called. Good name, fella.
(Going to have to wait for one of Kuska, Pikey or Troublesome to die first though... if I get four cats then that really will seal my fate and I'll turn into the kind of weird reclusive old man who people suspect of being a paedo...) -

We had a stray I named Sephiroth for a while, but then it's owner turned up. Turned out it was really called Socks. Kind of a let down... -

Registered 20 years agoI used to have a cat named Banshee. Kept me up three nights in a row as a kitten, mewling and whining... seemed a fitting name.
Zelda's a really one too.

Are you sure that you don't have yourself on ignore Tomo? I did that once...spooky stuff.
We've also just got two new Siamese kitties (well, they're already about 5 months old).
The guy is called Deenah (erm...after a blanket my girlfriend used to have when she was small) and the little girl is called KiKi.
DEY ARE SOOO KUTE!
EDIT: Did you know that Robin William's daughter is ALSO called Zelda? Your cat doesn't have hairy arms, does it?

Registered 18 years agoWe have Pokey and Elvis. Elvis is currently in kitty hospital, having been very ill over the weekend, but he's on the mend and we'll hopefully get him home on Tuesday. The place is very quiet without him. Pokey enjoys yoga, marshmallows, watching TV and being a complete slut. Elvis likes eating bleach and bath bubbles, splashing in the bathroom sink, and being thick.
Our cats are quite literally like our babies. We love them far too much.
Crispy, make sure you get pet insurance. Elvis' treatment this weekend cost about £1,300. -

Ours was an excess of like 40ish or something, with stuff usually costing just under that (for a dog) -

Registered 20 years agoGot a lovely old Burmese called Zippy. Not after the Rainbow muppet but the fact when he was little (and still to this day) he was big on spaz attacks that saw him tearing around the flat like Senna with a rocket up his bum. Funny as fuck to watch, especially when he takes a corner too tightly and clonks his head off a doorframe or similar. -

Registered 20 years agoAye some of the more mental ones are absolutely hilarious to watch. We had one a few years back that had a habit of trying to jump through windows. Problem was they were invariably closed. -

Registered 18 years agoOur downstairs neighbours were away in NZ for 3 months and had someone house and Cat-sit (we normally do it for a week or so). The daft buggers didn't realise that Mo (the cat) was ill for 2 weeks and lost shit loads of weight and couldn't move out of his basket. Turns out he has diabetes, poor fucker. I dread to think how much that is going to cost them in injections etc -
My cat is called Daisy, or Porch Monkey.
Porch Monkey was a recent name change, as it turned out Daisy wasn't a girl after all (he's a farm cat, so it seemed rude to have a look myself). -

Because the sound they make is so faint your brain sort of focuses on it rather than shutting it out. -
