| Its still on play for 9.99. I ordered my copy from there about 6 months ago. Well worth the price, although you may get it cheaper second hand if you can find it. |

Yeah, the best way is to play level 52 on the easiest setting. Clear everything but leave one dropship left, then you can stand under it and kill the waves as ants as they drop (use a machine gun). You'll have enough time to collect the powerups and reload before killing another wave.
Thanks. I'll give that a go tonight. I completed the first 10 levels on Inferno last night, didnt get any new weapons. are certain weapons restricted to certain levels?
Also, if you paly on inferno are the health/armour drops worth more points?
I just realised if I ever want 100% on this I'll to replay the game again twice on easy and medium even though they will now offer absolutely no challenge (I suppose I could select weaker weapons to make it harder). I wonder if my OCD will be enough to carry me through. -

Registered 18 years agoRodney, get a mate over for some co-op joy and mayhem. Two of you can get a really good farming system going. In our hunt for weapons and fun we pretty much played the whole game through on all levels apart from inferno. It was awesome

Registered 15 years agoI wish I had some friends to co-op with jellyhead...All my gaming friends are back in England.
Thanks for the tips ecureuil
I managed the first 10 levels on inferno last night with about 2500HP, solo.
I was using 10x sentry guns and some ridiculously overpowered shotgun. I love setting up a little bottle necks bewtween buildings, filling them with sentry guns and watching the mayhem unfold.
I was screwed when I got to the levels with UFO's dropping ants.
I reckong you'd need a lot more health points/weapons to complete the game solo on inferno. -

Registered 17 years agoSuperBas - I finished this 100% also. As for tips, you absolutely need a minimum of 10, 000 health if playing by yourself and around 8'500 if doing it co-op. That's your first step. After that, it's picking the correct weapon set up on the last level. I found turret's were mandatory to protect you from all the walkers and flying thingies and the daddy Lysander to take down the Mothership.
EDF is such a good game. I really wish there was a sequel in the pipeline. -

Registered 16 years agoHa, started playing this again the other day. I'm a bit of a Gamerwhore so I'm going through it again on easy, then I'm going to tackle hard. I think I'm going to have to look into weapon farming soon. -

You'll probably find it better to keep skipping around the difficulties as you will hit points where your current weapons won't cut it and you'll need to go and do a couple of levels on a harder difficulty in order to get better kit.

Incidentally, the health counter stops at 9999, but you can go on beyond that, it just doesn't show your total. If anyone was wondering

Registered 15 years agoI started doing this more at the weekend Jellyhead. The difficulty is all over the place in this game.
someone mentioned earlier to farm for weapons on level 40. Good tip. I have been playing level 41&41 a lot over the weekend on inefno and getting loads of nice new weapons. -

Registered 18 years agoYeah, the difficulty isn't linear as you might expect. We found that we'd plateau with our weapons either not carrying enough ammo in the clip, not reloading quickly enough or just not doing enough damage. At that point it's a choice of farming missions for health/armour, doing later levels on an easier difficulty or earlier levels on a harder difficulty to chase weapons. It's all about the weapon drops as levels seem to drop a certain range of weapons depending on difficulty which is why skipping around when you've hit a wall pays off.
There's a couple of sweet spot levels that i'm sure are there to encourage you to jump about rather than just plough through linearly.
I love thinking something's not right and then realising that there's no sounds of gunfire and screaming and shouting and acid and explosions, just silence... and carnage.
My face aches from grinning so much when i play this game and it's sooo much better with a like minded mate in co-op

Registered 15 years agoThe game can be frustrating when you hit those walls though and cant beat any new levels. That is why I didnt play it for a few months because I didnt realise it was better to jump around the different levels on different difficulties. -
Can anyone please give me some solo tips for Inferno (not the difficulty, the level of the same name) on Inferno?
The second wave always gets me. -

I have a big list of the weapons and what level/difficulty they start dropping on. It was secreted somewhere about the d3Publisher website and was found when the game was first released.
Most people back then swore by the ZEXR-Gun. -

I would like to get my hands on that list.
Is the ZEXR-Gun the sentry gun which fires missiles (900 damage points each).
I tried using that but it would always kill me when any bugs got near. Good fun though. On level 40 I just dropped them down the hole and it killed all the spiders for me. -
I feel like i'm on ignore sometimes
-
Did someone say something? -
Even two player what's the weapon load out? I tried to get my girlfriend it help but she was fucking useless (can't use dual analogues
) and then I tried to do it on my own using both controllers...which works for wave one.. -
Lysander preferred over say a rocket launcher? I'd have thought the Z would have a too slow fire rate but I guess it is one shot one kill.
HP per player if you recall? -
It's the last damn level I need. -
Erm. Oh. For fuck sake. That's the level I mean you know. Not Inferno. Wrath.
I'm such an idiot i'm sorry.
All my questions again but for Wrath.
