I'm still very impressed, although perhaps for the reasons kalel mentioned. Up to level six now and am just about to do the final intro quest which means I can join fellowships.

It's not too demaning on my pld PC either: 128Mb 6600GT and a slightly overclocked Athlon 2400+ (oc'ed to 2700+ - I'd do more but I need a cooler as it just reboots and crashes :) ) and 1 Gb DDR2 233 Ram. I can play with Medium graphics setting (with no high res settings pre-loaded and AA x2). It's not "great" by any means but much better than what I was expecting looks wise.

yes I know, it's just that my paypal has been empty for months. And yes I tried checking ebay, found nothing

I guess I just have to finally link paypal to my account (I always refused because of some horror stories I've heard), or scout London in the next days looking for those cards

I think most people are on the RP server, Laurelin or something. I'm on snowbourn. I think snowbourn is the busiest but I've not heard of any population problems on any of them.

I play on Eldar and the population is just fine - I think MoM has really given the game a shot in the arm, population-wise.

I just got a title for my Legendary sword - Goblin Impaler I think the title is - that makes it glow when Orc-kind are around.

    Pretty sweet.

I wish the patch would hurry up and arrive. Really looking forward to the new quest tracker and easier lvling curve. Might make getting a fellowship for the Great Barrow less of a pain in the arse.

I'm about this /)(\ close to level 60, but I'm kind of half-hoping the patch will arrive soon and just bump me over that last little hurdle...

It's too bad the XP won't effect Legendary Items though - my sword needs some hot XP action. And my sword, I of course mean, "sword."

    Not "penis."

I finally have a pony. I am probably the last beta-playing, pre-ordering player to get one. :)

I fully expect to hit 60 by the year 2011.

The quest guide looks good, similar to how WAR works.

Handy for those of us lacking a degree in Middle Earth geography. ;)

Is this any good? It's starting to tickle my fancy, but not sure If I should start this or WoW. Only really time for one. This looks a bit more grown up if ya know what I mean!

I'd say the community is generally more grown up. LOTRO is great, I think if you start it you won't be disappointed, but have a trial first and you'll know.

There's a trial available for both, if that helps. Try each :)

Any good pimping WAR here? ;)

They are both great games though, that deliver similar experiences. There is something that little bit special about exploring the likes of the Shire yourself, as well as seeing major events. Plus I prefer LOTROs crafting system.

WoW is great too though, but the Title system of LOTRO keeps bringing me back.

I almost mentioned WAR, but I didn't want to make his indecision worse ;)

The crafting is definitely better, but it does tend to spam you with critical-use mats with no explanation for which craft they're for.

Plus the game itself is a little harder, but people tend to run the lower level content; whereas you'll be lucky to get a Deadmines run in WoW.

Cool will give the trial a whirl. What sort of roles are usual missing?

Also, any good starting tips? Or just let it all flow in to me.
