| I bought from them last week, 4 games and next day delivery cost £81. Sorted. Or so I thought. Firstly they posted it to my local Argos instead of my house, due to a glitch in their system. I rang them to tell them that I was happy to pick it up but that I wanted a refund on the next day delivery, so they said they would take the £6 off. Today I've just looked at my bank balance and they have refunded the whole £81 so 4 free games for me |
Anyone had problems with shopto.net?

Registered 9 years agoI had an issue this week with adding a new card to my account. The 36 hours it took them to fix it meant the PSVR went out of stock so rather than having it yesterday, won't have it for another 3 weeks it's predicted. Bit annoying as have a free weekend, fortunately have shit loads of games to play anyway! -
I hate using their search box and how the site breaks my mobile if I stay on for too long.
I rambert when you'd visit and they'd promote using their app, but I never gave in. -

Registered 9 years agoJust seen they have it back in stock today, so missed out on it this weekend over that fuck up /o\ -
@Onefreudian can I ask what they blamed the error on for it not being delivered on time? Did you eventually receive the order?
I've had a similar problem these last few days. They were the only place on the planet showing the Move controller twin pack for PSVR as in stock. I was a bit dubious, but having used Shopto for 10 years and nothing but good things to say about them I ordered them for next day delivery. They marked the item as dispatched and DPD got in touch to give me a delivery window.
The next day I get a text from DPD saying unfortunately the item will not be delivered within the time frame they provided as ShopTo never provided them with the parcel. Upon contacting Shopto they said there was a warehouse error and my parcel wasn't put onto the DPD van. They said they'd "upgraded my delivery free of charge to Saturday delivery" i.e. today. Not sure how being a day late is an upgrade in anyway, but they said this was the only way they could compensate me and offered no real form of apology. Worse still is they said they can't do anything further for matters outside of their control - I'm unsure how them not ensuring my parcel was collected by the DPD van is anything but their own fault.
They also told me someone was making sure that my parcel specifically made the DPD collection this time. So I followed up with a reply to my open ticket to ask about this yesterday at 5pm and was assured it had definitely been collected.
Cue today, the 12pm cut off point for DPD Saturday deliveries has been and gone, no parcel has arrived and my tracking number still says DPD are yet to receive the parcel from ShopTo.
So I go to raise a ticket to rightly kick off and just demand a refund, and all of a sudden my ticket raising abilities have been revoked. So I'm basically £70 out of pocket and have nothing to show for it.
I shall not be using them again, which as I say is a real shame after 10 years of nothing but good things to say. -

Registered 5 years ago@SHPanda. Hi, there reply was as follows,
I sincerely apologise but there has been a glitch in our system which has delayed your order. It will be with you tomorrow but as a goodwill gesture for not receiving your vr on day one as promised we can offer a digital code for a vr game of your choice. Please let us know which game you would like and again we apologise.
You have several option open to you.
1. Ring Citizen's advice on 03454040505 and they can tell you the options open to you.
2. Contact the website savvy gamer and let him know what happened.
3. Sign up to trust pilot and leave a negative review on it for shopto.
4. Contact BBC's watchdog and report them.
I'll be doing the trust pilot review later today. I know it's a hassle but you will feel better and the more people who report them, the more likely they are going to be investigated. -

Registered 5 years ago@stephen1877 I might have to but when you are told that you can have ANY ps vr game of your choice and then are told it must be from their pre selected list you would feel a little erked. They don't even let you make a claim with their much praised pre order compensation. Having spent around £450, you would think that they would be a little more accommodating and sympathetic. -
Shopto are decent enough and usually get new release stuff delivered the day before. Their website though is an abomination.
I've recently switched to Simplygames though and they are also pretty good and have a website that doesn't take hours to load. -

Registered 14 years agoQuick warning about shopto. They sent me a fake Chinese monster hunter grip after months of waiting.
I pointed out it was fake, as I already owned a cheap grip and it was identical to the one shopto sent me (at three times the cost). They have refused to pay the return postage, despite the item not being the pictured one on their website.
They have tried to claim it is an official Nintendo product.
Dunno what happened to shopto. They are just shit now. -

Registered 14 years agoSo ultimately, you can't remember your account details, bought a copy from eBay that you assumed was the edition that included DLC despite the listing not claiming to, it wasn't, and that's their fault?
Are they supposed to state on their listings that the game DOESN'T also come with a PS4, 4K TV and bag of chips?
Get outta here.

Registered 6 years agoYeah it's weird to call it the Launch Edition on eBay if there's nothing special classifying it as the Launch Edition. But other than that, yeah that was one sorry collection of "I forgot my account, I confused them with multiple accounts, I used an old email address, I got impatient, I didn't read things right, it's all their fault though". -
But if they're advertising it as a launch edition, and there's no further details regarding DLC, logically a visitor to the page would think to do search for what the launch edition entails. They'd probably check other retailer listings and in his/her case, they've referred to the actual shopto website which lists the launch edition with DLC codes.
Fair enough there's been some issues with the email address and past accounts but to move forward, if they've then visited their eBay page and found a supposedly duplicate listing, entitled as a "launch edition", it's not wrong for the customer to be instilled with confidence that what they're then buying is the launch edition which includes codes. -

I don't disagree on that, it's cheeky as fuck and I would push them hard on that one.

My "launch" edition arrived a day early complete with art cards and dlc codes from Shop.To. Maybe I had zero problems because I don't have multiple accounts with them, keep my email address up to date and don't move house on the day I order stuff.

Yes but you got yours from the website like I did (also came early, with cards, and an email linking to the codes). He got his on eBay, where apparently they advertised it as launch edition then refused to give him codes.

So to recap: get your shit together before trying to order a pre-release launch edition at the last minute from a shop you've got several accounts for under different email addresses, some of which you have no access to.
But also, don't sell an 'Exclusive Launch Edition' of a game on your eBay store that doesn't actually come with any of the 'Exclusive Launch Edition' stuff, because FRAUD ACTIONS. -
@Bambot They do have some shady listings on ebay to be fair. The are asking £53 for Nioh.

Registered 11 years agoSo Tekken 7 hasn't arrived despite being sent on Wednesday. Injustice 2 didn't arrive 2 weeks ago.
Either ShopTo deliveries are getting worse or someone in the post office is a fighting game fan and keeps stealing my parcels. -

Registered 7 years agoI only had one issue with Shopto, and that was when i updated my card details. They changed my address back to my old address (which i updated days previously). Wasn't much of an issue, i knew the new owner of my old house so i could collect the parcel no problem.
Otherwise, any issues that have arisen have been Shopto's end and they've been big enough to admit it and either gave me a £5 PSN credit for my issues or upgraded my postage/added points on my account. -

Registered 18 years agoHmm. I rarely use Shopto, but yesterday I bought a DS4 from them. First 2 times I tried to pay by credit card, but got an error message and the order didn't go through, so I paid by PayPal and that was fine. DS4 arrived today. I then notice on my CC statement that I have 3 transactions for Shopto outstanding....this is going to be an utter ballache to get back, isn't it (if the 2 CC transactions go through....) -

are they actually payments or just pending payments? -
They had some systems issue this week, which has resulted in my Wipeout not making it for release (or at all this week). They also sent it to the wrong address. Bravo.
