Yeah, so what are your lanaguages? And what languages would you most like to learn how to speak? Or is it all just a waste of time?

    English, barely.

Got a B in GCSE French, but god knows how, I was terrible at it. I'm even worse now!

Edit: I'd really like to be able to speak French fluently to be honjest as I wouldn't mind moving there one day. Too lazy at the moment though!

    English, barely.
    Welsh, a fair bit less.

The rest of my language skills are just from spending my life next door to Yurp and picking up bits and pieces over time.
I've also tried learning Russian and Korean at times so i know a few words of those.

I speak both English and Irish fluently and I speak fairly good French.

English is my favourite langauge, it's so expressive and broad, unlike French, which I find is restricting. Irish is a great langauage, it;s so poetic and I wish I could speak it more often.

Can you tell me a bit about Urdu, please. I don't think I've even heard of such a language.

    English

Spanish: Got an A* at GCSE, worked in Gran Canaria for a while, still speak it half-decently and have no problems conversing with folk when I go there on holiday or reading a magazine or whatever. Am hoping to go back to studying it in September.

French: Got an A* in that too at GCSE but due to not having to use it, have forgotten most of it - but still remember a fair bit and on a recent trip to Paris, used it loads.

Can usually pick up the gist of something written in Portuguese due to it being similar to Spanish.

My grandfather used to write for a Urdu daily here. All in all he speaks seven different languages. I can barely get my head around three (four if you count rudimentary French).

Proof that people get dumber with each generation.

Did you purposefully do both a spelling and a grammatical error in the thread title? :)

Me too, although spoken Portugese is a different matter entirely, I struggle big time with it.

Heh, I quite literally can understand nothing in spoken Portuguese whatsoever. I wish I could though, I love the sound of it.

Noooo :( I just noticed that I typo'd the shit out of the word 'Languages'. Why can't I fix this? Do I have to get a mod to do it?

I speak English, and can just about get by understanding Crying Girl.

I also speak fluent management bullshit. I can leverage synergies to expand the potential throughput like you wouldn't believe!

I speak some french (What is the time? The bakers shop is on the table) and would like to speak Japanese but mainly to piss off my Japanophile friends.

So, does anyone know how I can change the thread title, it's a little embarrasing to have a mis-spelled title of a language thread.

Forgive my spelling (I'm guessing as I've only heard it said) but 'Banj ordri' is one of my favourite punjabi insults :)
