My Sony k700i is getting very old now and I'm in need of a new mp3 player so a music phone seems just what I need, could anyone suggest a good one?

And also the music phone's I've seen all have these weird little headphone jacks, can you get adapters so you can use proper headphones?

I've been very impressed with my w850i, comes with a 1gb pro duo too.

If you must get a music phone you can't really go wrong with any of the Sony Ericsson wXXX phones.

But I really don't get along with them. I'd sooner pull out my nano than listen on my phone.

I have a V3i and I bought a mini-USB to 3.5mm jack for it on ebay (where you'll find any adapter you might need) and I carry my 5.1 home cinema surround sound around with me.

Strapping 4 speakers to each arm and leg, with the centre speaker strapped to my chest gives me and the people around me true surround sound.

I also hold the subwoof under my left arm, leaving my right arm free to stab with, I rarely need to stab though because my gangsta music scares enemy homies.

Just FYI, if you do get a new music phone thingy and you feel the need at some point to sit there on the bus / train with your music blaring out of the shitty, tinny little speaker, completely oblivious to the fact that everyone within a twenty metre radius wants to cut off your head and shit down your throat for it, save everyone the effort and throw yourself under the wheels of something big and heavy.

    I'm not saying you will or anything, just... y'know, a heads-up. :)

My N91 is doing pretty well, ok its on the large side but its got 4gb of musical goodness.

That said, I do like the sony equivilant w950i i think - which also has 4gb of memory, but its flash - which to me, is better then the harddrive in my N91

My w850i's mp3 player isn't bad. Fairly standard, and comes with 1Gb. But I don't use it as an mp3 player - I got a 20gb Sony jobbie that fits in my pocket for that :)

    I got a music phone. (W850i)

    Can't say I use it.

    1) Music is a pain to put on it
    2) Navigating around 1GB+ of music would be le chore
    3) Doesn't 'do' a lot of data types (massive ommision - Audiobooks)

I was hoping for a (free) replacement for carrying around my ailing 4GB iPod Mini. In the end I just got a 30GB iPod as well.

    :(

On the other hand it's really great at being a phone/personal organiser/alarm clock, and really good at all the phone functions - text etc (despite some titchy buttons) and I can sync all that stuff with my Mac v easily.

    :)
