Now I'll freely admit that the vast majority of podcasts are shit, but there's some decent stuff out there. It's just finding the bastards, so stick you recommendations on here and share the love

Some excellent ones on East Village Radio including shows by Mark Ronson (great stuff, as long as you don't find his voice annoying)

On iTunes, I've been enjoying the MixTape Show, which would appeal to hiphop people

    So, know of anything good?

Cock on Ball - The unoffocial Spurs podcast. The best bar none, even for non football/non spurs fans.

MN is good as he invites lot's of developers and such on each show. Also gives his take on stuff like home. In the end he is still a corporate muppet though.

The Ricky Gervais Show is the best podcast by far (if you like Ricky Gervais).

The Adam & Joe one is good too.

Any more music ones? Internet radio ones? The East Village Radio link is worth a look, they're 2 - 3 hour shows, I used Juice to download them. I probably gained about 8 hours of new music yesterday

I've heard of the sceptic's guide, I'll have a look later. The comedy ones I currently get are The Onion Radio News and Strongbad Emails, both of which are great.

    Keith and the Girl.

Takes some getting into, and it's sliiightly offensive at first (till you lower your threshold), but it's darn funny.

    KATG.

Takes some getting used to. I'd start around episode 101; it's a bit far back and the quality was worse back then, but it's worth it to know the "backstory". The early episodes are great because the hosts had lives outside of doing the podcast, back then.

Not in video format, but I find Football Weekly from The Guardian a vastly entertaining listen.

The Funky Sixteen corners radio podcast is good for any soul and funk fans. 45min mixes of rare stuff. They also have an unmixed version if you like any of the tunes.

It's a half hour video show. I like it, and the theme tune is catchy. The last episode wasn't up to much TBH but I generally enjoy it.

The format they use is great though. Just people who are into games, chatting about games. So much better than the previous "bimbo advertising" most shows tended to use

It's 2 and 1/4 hours with no video as far as I can tell.

I can only assume itís been recorded at a ludicrously high bit rate for it to be so large. Itís ridiculous.

Hmm. Well, as far as I know it's a half hour video. Are you sure the 2.5 hours isn't time remaining to download rather than length?
  • Deleted user 24 October 2007 11:18:31
    Er...no...it's the length...
