Game Theory is very good and fairly short. 1Up yours is excellent. n Giant Bombcast seems to consist of guys discussing food...

1up FM might be worth a try if you want something more concise. They do a few separate interviews/discussions and join them together instead of one long discussion. It means you can forward a chunk of it if you're not interested and pick it up on a new discussion about something else with out missing anything, which is nice.

Ah this sucks, Jeff Green has left 1up :( The remaining people will still be doing the podcast but it wont be as entertaining without Jeff.

    Jeff was a cock.

TBF it was just his voice that annoyed me.

Nearly all the voices annoy me on 1UP, but thankfully I don't notice them anymore.

Actually, scratch that - the girls voice on 1UP FM grates like hell, as does her constant giggling.

A life well wasted is pretty good. Not your usual round table stuff. Rock Paper shotgun (RPS Electric Wireless Show) is also pretty good. John Davidson is doing one for his site, "What They Play".

I like John Davidson but the podcast of his that i listened to was him on his own and kind of lacked energy so i haven't bothered with the others yet.

A Life Well Wasted, Geekbox, ListenUp and Co-Op are the new 1Up shows and don't forget Retronauts.

Player One podcast always makes me laugh as does FocusTest from Austrailian gamer.
Video Game show is always worth a listen but i preferred the old show with just the two of them. The new guy just seems argumentative to me.
Idle Thumbs is fantastic, Giant Bombcast rocks and funnily enough the Gamespot podcasts are great especially Podcast BEYOND!.
Adam and Joe on XFM are worth digging out.
I'm always looking for other podcasts so i'll try a few of the ones listed here but i always end up listening to the videogame ones. Strange that :)

Brilliant podcast (Word magazine) about army life.

They discuss what music they listen to, being the MTV generation in the army, with pop culture informing their lives (ie. are war films really accurate or merely informing their behaviour?), very entertaining half hour discussion with a very clear and thoughtful junior officer.

Greatest Podcast Of All Time Alert

Idle Thumbs is back, apparently renamed to The Idle Thumbs as they have a new member. Everyone must subscribe to the greatness within, featuring Chris Remo, Hot Scoops, and Video Games.

    Wizard link, you're welcome.

Me and the missus love the Absolute Radio Dave Gorman podcast, got a load queued up to listen to on our drive to Cornwall soon. Interspersed with nursery rhyme cds to keep the girls happy no doubt.

Anyway, up for something else to keep it interesting; general witty banter, nothing crude or VG related. Any suggestions?

edit: btw, Giant Bombcast is the best VG related podcast I've yet heard. Love it.

I'll have a look for 'em, if I can muster up some enthusiasm to use Twitter again. I've only just started listening to them in the past couple of weeks after one(or two?) of them were guest(s) on Stage Clear.

Also, I dunno if this sounds strange but I find the sound of two Scottish blokes calling each other cunts a lot actually quite easy on the ears.
