No code yet they said there sent out in 3 hour batches but there probably closed now. Heres hoping its in my inbox when I get up in the morning.

So what day does the early access start? if its out not this Friday but next and its 3 day early I assume its Tuesday but ive read people saying Saturday?

Combat looks fun and the whole siege/building towns sounds nuts.

Probably end either a Barbarian or a Ranger.

Oh, I find it the faster button mashing much more entertaining than pressing a button once when waiting for my character to kill the NPC.

I want to be a melee damage dealer and I believe that makes my only options barbarian and assassin, daggers are rubbish leaving me with only barbarian. I don't want to be half naked all the time though. Disaster! Maybe the barbarian armour will have more to it than I am expecting though.

I've pre-ordered after reading this thread and checking out some movies, etc.

Downloading the files now. Just hope its plays as well as it looks as WoW has got a bit stale for me recently so I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into something different.

A mate says he's pre-ordered this on the 360. I haven't read anything about this so does anyone know whether it's cross platform or this too much to hope for ?

If any of you, particularly with Vista 32 and 8800 cards, have performance problems, use Driver Sweeper (easily found with google) and make a clean reinstall of the graphics drivers.

Quadrupled my framerate, and those of quite a few others.

The Necromancer is pretty darn good. Has some really nice spells.
Then again, pretty much all of the classes have some really nice abilities.

I believe Conquerers are also somewhat adept at thumping people (frontline buff specialist).

Don't you get early access with Game as well?

Apart from that, you'd have different serial keys, I guess, so you probably wouldn't be able to continue using your early access account.

This is all rather confusing.

I've preordered the uncensored European version which should arrive today - I have no idea if it has any mount, and which.

I am secretly hoping for the mammoth as well.

I was under the impression that it's too late to order from Game/Play if you want early access for the full week - instead you just get the mount and access with everyone else on the 23rd?

Maybe i'll sod the mount and just get a bow from Amazon or some shit. But a bow vs. a mammoth?

You might say early access isn't all that, but I have uber-gay law exams at the start of june so won't be able to play from the 23rd onwards - too much revision! However, I think I can let myself have some decent playing time from the 17th or whenever the hell early access it.

Maybe I should just sod it and put it away until the middle of june - see if I can resist! Or give the box to a mate to hold so I don't fall to temptation.

So confusing! Lou - you never answered my question from the previous page - in fact a general question to everyone on the beta - WoW-beater, WoW-same-as-er or WoW-shitter-than? The ultimate question.

Correct me if I�m wrong but it would be impossible for ANY MMO to be a �wow beater� from the off.
Wow has spent years polishing and bug fixing it up. You don�t just have a instantly great MMO?

I looked at that. Seems like you could spec it out to be a damage dealer, but if the community is as bad as WoW's (considering how many comments about the lack of nipples I saw in the open beta it certainly has potential) then they will not understand that I like to play my class how I enjoy it most and just swear at me instead.

That's one of the things I meant when I said earlier (in response to Benno) that I want to approach the game more casually and play it simply to have some fun. WoW bored me the moment it got increasingly about working like a clockwork in large parties.

Ok, seeing as it's down to me to always play the most popular class (my first WoW 60 was a Nelf Hunter, naturally), I guess i'll go with ranger. Oo i'm excited. Oo. Oo.

I also agree with the "working like a clockwork in large parties" and "play my class how I enjoy it most" sentiments. I was lucky enough in WoW to be in a guild with a lot of like minded people, but the majority of them were very scary places to be - see the RPS article on how organising a raiding guild now looks good on your CV!

I'll probably be going Ranger. But I'm with Lou on the casual approach. Anyone who played WoW or LotRO with me will testify to my glacial levelling speed and my fantastic ability to dick around for hours on end.
