Write to the manufacturer? They might be sympathetic and be able to send you a load of them.

I usually work nights so I sleep in the day. It is a cycle I find hard to break. I occasionally force myself to stay up for 24 hours or more. Sleep that night, wake up early, have an afternoon nap, and fall straight back into the cycle. I have to stay up today as I have a new TV coming.

It sure is, I cannot wait to get it set up. Get back to Uncharted 2. Maybe have a few beers. Got a chicken and prune curry in the slow cooker. The day is looking quite sweet. You have anything planned?

Woke up at 4am today due to pain. Got a sore throat over the weekend, realized I wouldn't be able to get to work unless cleared of covid-19. Booked a slot Sunday afternoon and within an hour I was back home. Got results yesterday, negative.

Still a bit of a sore throat but it is mainly backache /heartburn. Maybe some sort of other viral thing. Weird. Probably still go to work

Well that is good news about it not being Covid. If I have a sore throat, heart burn and back ache it is usually because I had drank too much the night before.

Admittedly I have been drinking more recently, I wonder why? Mainly beer though, not hard liquor. :)

Pff, I've been awake all night thanks to the heat.
Sweating profusely is one thing but my nose and mouth are constantly dry so they get very irritated. I have to drink every half hour at least (if I don't I just wake up anyway, as the previous night has proven) and the irritation keeps me from falling asleep in the first place.

Thank goodness I don't have to work - or have any responsibilities for that matter - tomorrow.

Same here... Only I have work, which includes a conference with lawyers and counsel, that I really need to be switched on for. I don't think it's going to go well. Annoyingly I managed to drift off for a solid hour before the breeze picked up and started bashing the bedroom door around to wake me up thinking we were being burgled

Yarp, another one here, although not that bad, have had about 3 hours.
Problem for me is I have 3 young cats in the house (7 months old) who are currently locked out the bedroom (not been let outside yet) as the window is wide open.
They scratch at the door at various intervals throughout the night/morning and I canít nap during the day.
So although Iím at home shielding with no work responsibilities right now I havenít had a proper nights sleep in months.
Poor fuckers really have been struggling with the heat these last few days though.

I was awake just after 2am. Listened to Radio drama, namely Adam Dalglish mystery, it was a great.

I was up at 3.45 this morning as the dogs were making a racket. Turns out one of them had an upset stomach and they were both pinned against the side of the crate trying to get away from the resultant mess. Put the washer on for the bed, gave them a wash and then sat up with them for an hour or so. Think I've had maybe 4 hours kip.

Very good. Very middle age and middle class! I need to buy some better earbuds tbh, so I can do the same (well podcasts really) I'd I can't be bothered to get up.

I have fully regressed into my childhood this Christmas. With my emails completely off and no work to do, I've slipped into playing games wayyyyy into the early hours and now I can't fucking sleep.

Back to work on Monday so really need to shift my day-night cycle back 3 hours... Sigh.

    Assuming that's not a euphemism...
It's in the freezer of the butcher, will leave it for a few weeks, I did plan the cooking for the next 5 days and prepared my shopping list. Go me!

I got some decent earbuds and was awake at 5, but managed to nod back off again until 8.30. Definitely sleeping better this holiday, even with booze. Bloody work.

Yawn. Daughter woke up with a nightmare, refused to go back to her own bed, so wife went in her room. By which point, I'm wide awake so now downstairs with a cuppa and the cricket on.
